The cottage was easy to find, and the trail at the back of the property was quite a nice walk.
A few issues though- when we pulled up there was construction happening directly beside us, and cars coming and going, often. Didn't have the "serenity feel" we were looking forward to.
Our main concern though was the cleanliness. The sponge and dish towel left in the kitchen stank quite badly. We read in the listing this was a fully stocked kitchen. But had no simple salt and pepper, no oil, no matches, and two lighters without lighter fluid.... leaving us with no way to light the stove top or oven to cook.
We had to go buy quite a bit of supplies, a sponge, paper towel, lighters, salt and pepper, oil... We left it all behind, so the next guest will have a fully stocked kitchen, but on our expense. A little frustrating.
Not sure when the place last had a proper clean, since as we cleaned up after cooking, the mess left on the paper towels was much more than surface dirt.
The TV is tiny and quite difficult to put a DVD in, as not all buttons on the remote were working... leaving you to bend awkwardly behind the wall mounted tv to try and find buttons. (If you care to watch a good old movie at night)
The bed was comfortable, the bath tub didn't bother us to shower in, although it is a little tricky not to get water on the floor, but still doable. Comfy tub. the toilet still had the cleaning wipe in the basin when we arrived.
The loft is essentially the size of the double bed, which was a bare mattress without bedding. So pack accordingly if you have more than two people!
