„Very well maintained and clean cabin, and our host was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We especially enjoyed the fireplace, the hot tub, and the privacy of the cabin. Outside of the master bedroom is a stream you can hear at night while sleeping. We had everything we needed and our kids are already asking to stay there again for future ski trips to Monarch. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!“

„The cabin is in a perfect position to ski at monarch mountain and still make a trip into salida if you want to without much travel time. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very roomy with everything you’d need. Overall it was the perfect place for my friends and I to stay for our ski trip! Would stay again if given the opportunity.“

Place is clean and can get really toasty if you want it to with the fireplace and heating. Fire pit and hot tub were great for the winter weather while we were there. Definitely will stay again. “

„I highly recommend this property it was absolutely beautiful. The stream behind the house was gorgeous and brought a deer and her fawns several of the mornings we were there. The house is well equipped for large groups and it was the perfect spot. Not too far from town but also peaceful and secluded. Buena Vista was a short 10-15 min drive. Perfect.“

„A River Runs Through has lots of beds and space for a large family. The only suggestion is to get some new pillows for some of the beds as some of them were very flat. We had a great time and it was a great home base for us, even had an office for some privacy to work.“

„We stayed here to go skiing at Monarch. It is a great location you can walk to grocery stores and all downtown restaurants and shops. “

„There were some minor property issues, but they were not even close to a deal breaker. The House was clean and bright and had everything we needed. My family had a wonderful time. I enjoyed being back in the Heart of the Rockies and in the heart of downtown. I was a geology student in Salida in the mid-90s, and it was great to see that this town is still strong. I loved seeing some of the same places I frequented are still around.“
