Our family (three kids, ages 1-12, two parents, two grandparents) stayed in this lovely home in Port Orford for four nights in August. Our older kiddos loved the easy access to the beach via Battle Rock Wayside Park, and the hose outside made rising off easy after playing in the sand and water. The adults and entire group enjoyed staying within an easy stroll to several restaurants and an art gallery. We ate at Redfish and the Crazy Norwegian, and we were able to walk to a grocery co-op for groceries. The kitchen was well-equipped for staying in and cooking.
The beds were comfortable. As a few others commented, family members who stayed in bedrooms near the main road did hear a little bit of road noise but it didn't prevent them from sleeping well. At the other end of the house we didn't hear any road noise.
The water was COLD in Port Orford but that didn't bother our 9 and 12 year old. Overall, we had a lovely time staying in this home. If our travels ever bring us back to Port Orford we would love to stay here again.
