„My Family had a small reunion at Portage Lake. The cabin ended up being the perfect meeting spot. We had dinner there every night. The grill and burners outside were perfect for a clambake and grilling. We sat by the fire pit, with the children fishing, riding bikes and making smores. „Used this as base camp for bird hunting in the NMW for a week in October with my dad and his dog. Was a perfect spot to crash at the end of long day in the woods. Comfortable at night, even had the luxury of the TV to watch playoff baseball at night, and the sunrises were amazing every day. Eric was very welcoming of the dog and very quick to answer any questions. Would tell friend s a stay here again.“

„Great location for our moose hunt. Very close to the access road to the North Maine Woods. Amazing view of Portage Lake. Very spacious and plenty of room for parking. The single-bay garage was perfect to gather under for a bbq.“

„Dustin was a perfect host. He responded quickly and kindly with every interaction. The place was clean and well stocked and even had plenty of games and water things. The beds are comfortable and there are nice sitting areas outside. Theres a lot to see in the area so we spent some days traveling about and a couple just hanging around the camp. It was a great week and nice to be in a comfy place that felt like home.“

„We loved our stay at the cabin! The Hucks hospitality made our stay exceptionally enjoyable! They gave excellent restaurant recommendations and we visited the lake bog they also recommend. We also enjoyed walking through the trails on the property. We were disappointed that oddly we seen no wildlife on the property not even a squirrel or rabbit. We loved our stay and appreciate how the Hucks made our stay so very much enjoyable. “

„From the moment you arrive you know what a special place it is. The pictures do not do it justice...it is one of those situations where the place is actually prettier than the pictures. You will not be disappointed. The hosts are excellent,super friendly and very easy to communicate with. The house is cozy, warm and well equipped, and the location is just amazing.
