Beautiful Lakefront with Private Beach

Perched atop a secluded bluff, our cozy 900-square-foot lakefront cottage, 4-season home overlooks a beautiful stretch of Lake Erie shoreline. Take the stairs to a private sandy beach where you can relax, stroll, swim, fish, or marvel at the sunsets (winter: the lower stairs are retracted from November - April). Our home is pet-friendly, with a smart TV, Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, three comfortable bedrooms, each with a queen bed, one bath, kayaks, paddleboards, and most everything else you could want for the perfect vacation.

Very nice place! I would highly recommend it. Great communication with the owner. Owner was very accommodating with everything as we didn’t really need to bring anything from home the house was well supplied. The view was amazing, especially from the hot tub. Very nice community and very nice neighbors to talk to. I would go back 100%

Quiet and private
A very nice, quiet place to stay. Plenty of whatever you need. Best part of that was towels, didn’t have to reuse your damp ones. The hot tub, wow what a view. A must to take advantage of that as you watch the sun set over the lake. Didn’t have any issues at all

Perfect anniversary weekend. The house is cute, lake view awesome. We enjoyed the beach and the spa. The near-by town of Westfield had great restaurants and we cooked at the house. It was a great weekend.

Humble Beach Cottage with Gorgeous View
While the house itself is "just a very nice place," the view of Lake Erie over the cliffs is phenomenal. Our pups were welcomed and the place is well set up for having the dogs there with few carpeted floors.

My daughter traveled with me while I worked a 24 hour shift at the local hospital. She loved the view. She was able to bring her dog to keep her company. If the weather had been better it would have been nice to walk the dog on the beach. Beautiful view of the waves on the lake while sitting on the couch.

Lake Erie Vacay
Do you want to go for a relaxing vacation with Lake Erie at your doorstep and a hot tub right outside the sliding door? This is the place for you. Our grandkids enjoyed the paddleboats on Lake Erie. The house was comfortable with ample beds for the 6 of us. We had a couple hiccups but Rickard was immediately on it to remedy the situation. He definitely went above and beyond. The area was so peaceful even though it is in a small community. Would definitely come back.

The Decks, the Water, the Hot Tub...
The water feels amazingly close when you climb up on the deck. What a view! Every meal that we could, we had at the deck picnic table. We hauled the kayaks down to the beach to launch, but you need to be fit to do so. The stairs are steep and a bit challenging, but we found that it was worth it. Great workout and fun on the water paddling! The Hot Tub was our reward!

Very nice cozy cottage..It was just right for the 3 of us. The beds were very comfortable, we all slept great. The views of the lake are great and there was always a nice breeze blowing. As others have mentioned, the steps down to the lake are sketchy but doable if you walk down the center of the steps. I was up and down them a couple times each day. This is a great place for someone looking for a simple place to stay while visiting the local area.. The hot tub was great, we used it every night.

Great summer vacation spot with a beautiful view of Lake Erie
The cottage was clean, cool and comfortable with plenty of space for our family of six and had an amazing view of Lake Erie. The property was private, and the hot tub and decks were perfect for relaxing while watching the sunset or listening to the waves crashing on the beach. It had everything you needed for a great family vacation. The steps to the beach were a little steep but manageable. My husband and teenaged son were able to get the kayak to the lake without any problems. The owner was prompt to reply to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view. Disappointing that there is no easy, safe shore line access. Use of listed kayaks or paddle boards should be removed as there is no way to get them to the lake. Disappointed that an oven was listed but not there. Tricky to make meals alternating use of microwave and toaster oven to prevent blowing a fuse. Excellent response from property owner when something needed taken care of and had a question. Suggestion to maybe leave a starter wood pile and lighter with the fire pit.

Cozy and Relaxing
This lake front cabin was the perfect spot for a group of friends to get together and reconnect. The cabin was clean, quiet, had great views off the back deck, and was centrally located to area vineyards. Bedrooms were very comfy, cool, and dark - fans were provided for those of us that need white noise to sleep. The hot tub is a great place to watch the sunset! If you brave the stairs down to the beach, you can see a barn swallow colony with nests dug into the cliff face. A few items noted in the amenities list were missing (scooters, hairdryer) and the kitchen utensils need refreshing (no spatula, serving spoons, or wine opener), but Ric was quick to reply to questions and the MIA scooters didn’t diminish our stay. One suggestion would be to include instructions for how to operate the induction cook plate (although Google can take care of that quickly). We gifted the house a new corkscrew as a thank you :)

Overall it is a beautiful area. The host was prompt in communication and helpful with heating glitch. I was disappointed to see the beach access virtually inaccessible, due to land erosion, but that wasn’t clearly stated in description, nor was the train whistle going at all hours of the night. It was a beautiful view and there were several great restaurants.

Over all the views were georgous, however the inside was not as nice as we had hoped.
The views are amazing, and the hot tub was a nice relaxing part of our stay. Unfortunately the stairs were not out yet to get down to the beach, owner outs them in after April, and with the coastline damage those are the only steps when we asked the neighbors. The inside was ok, we kept our shoes on, the floors in the living room around the doors were very wet when we arrived, and not super clean. The heaters were very easy to use. The linens were clean, and towels provided were very nice. The shower was tricky to regulate the water temperature some, you have to be patient and wait. The toilet is not set on level ground because everytime you sit it rocks forward, then backward when you get up. The last day there, water was coming out from under the front of it. The area is known to have spiders, and yes every night we had to swatt 6-10 off the ceiling/mid air danglers. Overall we treated it like a camping vacation as we are not high maintenanced people, everything was doable. Do keep in mind there is no stove, we took our griddle and crock pot to make food.

Very lovely weekend
Gorgeous view of Lake Erie. Everything needed contained in the property. We were worried about heating but there were so many space heaters and the propane heater in the master bedroom we frequently had to turn off bc it became so very warm. Very lovely jacuzzi situated perfectly outside the door in the deck. Also was a very private location. The people in the nearby town of Westfield were extremely friendly and helpful and the eateries were actually plentiful with good prices and delicious food. Unbeknownst to us prior, this has to be the vineyard capital of the region which offer delicious wines, not super expensive and the people again were a pleasure. Overall was an amazing trip
