OTHERS THINGS TO NOTE
IMPORTANT - Fill up on gas and get groceries before heading up the mountain. Closest gas station is about 30 miles/1 hour away (Bakersfield/Porterville/Springville) and closest groceries are 14 miles away from the local market and food options limited.
TRASH - We do not have any trash service in the mountains so we request all trash to be removed by the guests when leaving. You will be charged for any trash and/or food in fridge left.
Phone service can be limited up in the mountains…which isn’t necessarily a bad thing when you’re looking to get away and decompress. But Starlink internet runs pretty smoothly for Wifi, emails, & streaming.
IMPORTANT: In the winter season, 4-wheel drive and snow chains are required.
Please bring your own firewood/firestarter for the wood-burning stove. This is the cabin’s main source of heat. We also have fire wood for sale as well for $7 a bundle. Just let us know.
Your cleaning fee covers a basic cleaning to prep the cabin for the next guest (ex. light bathroom/kitchen cleaning, tubs, wash linens & towels, & vacuum). You will be charged for any additional cleaning that requires above and beyond this basic clean (ex. Pet stains/hair, food, stains, messy kitchen, dirty dishes, food in fridge, trash).
Please treat our place, the mountains, and our mountain community with respect and keep it clean. Be respectful of our family cabin and our mountain neighbors. We ask for the cabin to be left as you found it.
