„Easy check-in and friendly staff showing me to my room and instructing me to let him know if there was anything I required during my stay. Room, which is separate to the main pub, was adequate in size and facilities with a very good shower in the bathroom. The hotel is close to the market square where there is a good choice of restaurants, shops and cafes, and it's easy to find breakfast if you decide not to have it in the hotel. „Classy Hotel in an 18th Century Georgian architectural landmark which was saved by the Hotel Company. Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover.“

„Vorab, es war sauber. Jedoch kein Zimmerservice. WLAN kostet extra7€. Ebenso die angegebene Sauna und der Parkplatz. Die Fenster sind einfach verglast und beim Frühstück laufen zwei Durchlauf Toaster. Das tut schon fast weh was die Umwelt angeht. Die Einrichtung ist brauchbar jedoch nicht hochwertig.“

„Close to the station and town centre so easily walkable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was upgraded on arrival- and the room was lovely! Great that it has a gym and spa treatments on site too.“

„The reception looks more like a helpdesk as many people passing by for the gym. The hotel spa is crowded as many locals use it. There was no space in the sauna. Breakfast does not have a big choice. Rooms are nice and comfy.“

„What the receptionist had in abundance regarding friendliness, was the midaged lady at breakfast lacking; I think friendliness can be expected also when a guest shows up 5 minutes before the official start of breakfast and takes himself some cereal.“

„Das Hotel müsste dringend überholt werden Badezimmer mit defekten Fliesen und schimmeligen Silikonfugen . Keine Klimatisierung möglich kein Kühlschrank oder Minibar im Zimmer. Keine Toilettenbürste vorhanden. Gesamtzustand des Hotels stark abgenutzt. Gardinen im Zimmer zerfetzt ( siehe Bilder)“

„Freundliche Atmosphäre. Schönes Country-Inn mit vorzüglichem Essen. Zimmer sehr klein, Durchzug (verriegelte Türe direkt auf die Strasse). Gute Basis für Wanderungen in der Gegend“

„Das Junior Suite entspricht der Beschrribung. Groß, Sauber, perfekt eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer auch groß und sauber. Die Badewanne mit Fernseher haben wir nicht benutzt. Wir haben nur die Duschkabine“
