„The house is a charming log cabin located deep in the woods of a sparsely populated part of Mt Desert Island. It has a nice but small private pond behind the house. The house is overall nice, but definitely has some quirks and inaccurate listing details. Contrary to the listing, it does NOT have a hot tub. The upstairs bathroom has the most unusual “bath tub” I have ever seen - it is about 30”x30” and nearly 3’ deep. It is so tall they had to build a step next to it to get in. I would NOT want ...

„My husband and I did a 3-night stay at the cottage to celebrate our anniversary. It was perfect. The cottage was efficient, clean, and in a beautiful setting. We kayaked off the point in the back yard in the morning and watched the sunset there at night. The house was located halfway between Bar Harbor/Acadia and Schoodic so we were able to hike in both locations. „My family had a wonderful stay in this house. Between hiking in the Schoodic Peninsula, visiting Bar Harbor, and soaking up the view from Cadillac Mountain, we loved swinging on the porch swing, having coffee on the front porch, and relaxing around the dinner table. „The Driftwood Cottage was stocked well with almost everything that you would need for a comfortable getaway. We just stayed for one night, and enjoyed the quiet side of Acadia! The description for the property could use some updating though. It said that you could take a short trail through the woods to the Bass Harbor lighthouse. This is no longer allowed through the national park property across the street from the cottage. “

„We had the best time on our girls trip. There was 8 of us. the house was wonderful with such great access to downtown and the national park. The best were so comfortable. „We were 3 adult couples visiting Acadia Park. Layout allowed us to spread out - 1 bed/bath on each floor, 1 bdrm was unused. Older home so you can hear people going up/down stairs at night.
