• Electricity is Extra based on Consumption – The Dominican Republic is a developing country and it has its challenges in regards to cost effective electricity distribution. Therefore, to encourage renters to conserve electricity during their stay, they will be responsible for electricity chargers during their stay.

• We will verify the electricity meter readings before check-in and check-out to determine your electricity usage. You will then be charged for actual usage. It is very simple- you pay for what you consume. We read the meter at the check-in and read again prior to check-out. The meter can be self-monitored daily. The rate is US$ 0.35 per kw/h.

• Normal consumption is US$ 5-10 per day 2 bedroom. Above average consumption 2 bedroom, usually will not exceed US$ 20 per day. Ultimately it is up to you and your consumption. You will be charged for your consumption which may exceed the amounts indicated above.

• RENTALS 30 DAYS OR LESS the meter will be read and payment for electricity consumption will be collected before check out.

• RENTALS FOR MORE THAN 30 DAYS $US 500 FOR 2 BEDROOMS CONDOS. Every 30 days we will read the meter and collect payment for the consumption.

Very comfortable stay
The apartment was very comfortable, and walking distance from restaurants and the beach and grocery stores. Some previous reviews mentioned they had problems with the water. We didn’t. Matter of fact the owner installed extra filters, thank you. The roof top was exceptionally at night. We loved star gazing! The grounds were super clean and although we didn’t make use of the pool, it looked very appealing. Finally, the owner was very accommodating. We landed way earlier than expected and asked for an earlier check-in without knowing the owner was supposed to “check out” on the same day. We had the pleasure to meat him, and he showed us around. Awesome family!!! Highly recommend the place! We stayed just for 5 nights because we waited up to last minute to book it. Don’t make the same mistake!

I recommend staying here
Overall, the place was good. The inside of the apartment was clean and had everything you need. Plenty of towels which was nice. The provided shampoo and body wash as well. The apartment provides ice cubes as well. They were working on the tile of the pool so it didn’t seem the cleanest. Didn’t spend much time at the pool. The water provided was good! There wasn’t a whole lot of water pressure, but it was fine. Just don’t try to run both showers at once. It was a 5 min walk to restaurants. Just be aware of your surroundings while walking over there. The walk to the beach was just about 10 min as well. But don’t really recommend going there as there was a lot of seaweed everywhere and not much public access. The activities were limited. However, if you need a clean, comfortable place to stay this will work for you.

Great location!
Our stay was quite pleasant. Marina the property manager was always prompt to respond. The condo is close to most restaurants and night life and is safe with a security guard at the gate. The only issues were that the pool was in good shape to swim most of the time as the water was pretty murky and one of the bathrooms leaked the last two days, but overall, things were great.

Okay stay with a few problems
Overall a quality stay. Property manager was incredibly fast to reply and fix problems. The pool and balcony were super!! We had a few problems with the power going out, water not working, and check in took quite a while (20ish minutes from arrival to getting into room). The neighborhood is not the nicest (lots of trash along the walk to the beach). Works well for a group of young adults ready for adventure. Would think twice if elderly or with family.

This spot was in a great spot for walking to the nearby restaurants and bars and beach. The staff/security was great. The rooftop patio was a great feature. The cushions weren't as clean as in the photo but we made do. Overall all I would recommend.

Great stay!
Loved the place & area, very close to everything! We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves. Only problem was out was listed for noon but we had cleaning ladies come in at 9am making the checkout process a bit awkward. I also don’t recommend setting up a pickup through here, Uber is much cheaper :)

Good vacation
I just want to start by saying that Nuria made my check in very easy she was very helpful and attentive. The apartment is located in a great location close to the restaurants and the beach. The private roof top was the best for tanning and for barbecue. The pool was ok the first few days it was foggy so we did not use it until almost at the end of our vacation when it looked cleaner. The apartment was big enough for me. The only thing I must say is that the apartment needs some tender loving care it could use some upgrades. But I will definitely stay there again. Thanks again to Nuria and her team……

2nd stay in this well furnished apartment in a very nice residency. Though, the apartment would need some maintenance (linking water in one of the bathrooms and in the laundry room). We haven’t met the property manager upon arrival or departure, but a handyman living closer.

Great location
Honestly there were a few things I didn’t like. But they were eclipsed by the things I did like. The condominium is in the perfect place. You’re in the middle of everything you’ll need. Shopping areas are about a 10 min walk along with many restaurants. Beach is about a 10-15 min walk but you’ll get there way faster with one of the many moto taxis around the area. Entertainment is also pretty close would recommend some form or transportation though. Overall the property is really good . Also just want to say Marilyn the property manager(pretty sure that’s what she was sorry if I’m mistaken) was amazing . She was extremely helpful throughout my stay. Any question I had she answered in a very timely manner and I asked a lot of questions. Made the trip so much less stressful she was great.

The Arenas de Bavaro complex is comprised of well-located condos in the Cortecito area of Bávaro. Built around 15 years ago they are in very good shape, showing the caring attention paid to them by their owners and the HOA. This unit is tastefully decorated with a well-appointed kitchen, AC in every quarter, laundry, and a splendid private, roof-top terrace. The latter was the biggest selling point for my wife. The manager, Marilyn, is very friendly and attentive. She lives close-by and makes herself available when needed. The owners, Roman and Marta, are very nice people who will go to great lengths to make sure that your stay is enjoyable. From the condo you can walk to the beach via Playa Turquesa (about 10 minutes) or via Avenida España, commonly known as Cortecito Beach (about 15-20 minute walk). Unfortunately Calle Matilda, right across the road, has been closed to the public. The sea shore is decorated by a golden-sand beach that extends for miles in both directions. There are many activities in the area that would interest any out-doors type of person. Everything from parasailing to party boats! The condo complex has two pools, one of which is right outside your front door. The balcony is a comfortable size with two rocking chairs for those who wish to travel without going anywhere. ;-) With windows on all exterior walls (three sides) one can enjoy a lovely breeze on most days. Reasonable price and within walking distance...
The location is within walking to the beach and several good restaurants and groceries. New kitchen appliances, nice rooftop area. Property manager was very helpful resolving issues. Owners are good communicators and were very responsive. There is a market outside the bedroom windows that seems to be open through most of the night and can be quite noisy. Bring some ear plugs just in case. Besides the market, the neighborhood is quiet.
