The main reason I booked this hotel was for the kids’ playroom, which was advertised on the website and in description. However, upon arrival, we were informed that it was unavailable due to renovations—something that was never mentioned beforehand. That was a huge disappointment.
Second, I requested a late check-out at 1 PM since I was traveling for work (a conference on Sunday morning), and my wife and kids were planning to stay at the hotel until I returned around 12:30–1 PM. This was another key reason we chose this hotel, as the playroom would have kept the kids entertained. Initially, I was told that late check-out was only available for “members,” as if I had to sign up just to extend my stay by two hours. After multiple requests, they finally made an exception, but it felt like I was asking for something completely unreasonable.
Lastly, after a long Saturday, I went to the reception to grab two beers. The staff assured me they would charge them to my credit card on file, so I returned to my room. However, after 10 PM, the front desk called—waking up both of my sleeping kids—just to inform me that they didn’t actually have my card on record. When I asked if I could settle the payment in the morning, they refused and made me come back downstairs past 10 PM, despite having just disturbed my kids’ sleep.
I’ll finish by saying that nothing was done with bad intentions, but the way things were handled was simply not professional and not customer-focused.
