OVERVIEW:
Unwind and create memories at our 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath home overlooking the New River. Nestled in the heart of the New River Valley, it is a quick drive to all of the popular destinations; Virginia Tech (20 mins), Radford University (9 mins), Claytor Lake (20 mins), Christiansburg (15 mins), and more. This expansive home is designed for large groups and multiple families; where time spent together is the priority but enough space to spread out is important too.
THE SPACE:
Entering the home, you will walk directly into the open concept living room and kitchen, with a dining room off of the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, and microwave, Keurig (bring your own k-cups), as well as pots, pans, dishes, etc; however there is no dishwasher. The kitchen offers a bar height counter with seating for 4, plus an extendable dining room table which seats 8 people.
The first floor creates the perfect accommodations for multiple families or large groups, boasting two bedrooms with en suites (one with a king and one with a queen bed), as well a third bedroom (queen bed) with direct bathroom access. At the back of the home, the Den offers a daybed with two twin mattresses and a half bath.
Walking upstairs, you'll first enter a second family room with an attached sunroom. With seating for 12+ people, this space is perfect for games, movies, or good ol’ fashioned catching up. Down the hallway, you’ll find two upstairs bedrooms; one with a queen bed and the other with a queen bed, two twins, and room for an air mattress (air mattress not provided) creating space for everyone in your group. Don’t forget to check out the second level deck located off of the sunroom; perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and appreciating the view.
Heading outside, you’ll first notice the view of the river and privacy our home provides. With over 750 SF of decking, there are two tables with plenty of seating to enjoy a cookout on the propane grill. Below the deck, there is a large bonfire area with string lights for a late night campfire.
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests will have access to the entire home during their stay as well as the main area in the backyard. Before arrival, a unique door code will be provided for keyless entry. In the backyard, there is a large workshop as well as a concrete structure that will be locked and off limits. To ensure safety, please do not venture past the no trespassing signs in the backyard. The deck, fire pit and grass areas are fully accessible and this will not have any impact on your stay.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
This is an older home and is certainly one of a kind. There are numerous stairs and steps throughout the home, so please pay attention when first arriving. If you have someone in your party who has trouble with stairs, please let us know. The Den offers an opportunity for stairless entry, as well a ramp to access the first floor living area.
The home is located on a single-lane private street and therefore parking on the street is prohibited. The driveway is located to the left of the home and provides parking for 6 cars. Please make alternate arrangements if you will have more than 6 cars.
