The Prairie Creek Cabin is a peaceful home in the forest 4 miles from Pactola Reservoir.  Inside you'll find 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and all of the comforts of home including internet and a full kitchen. Outside the back door on the deck there is a hot tub and propane fire pit.

Cozy and spacious!
Stayed with 2 other couples. Plenty of room to spread out- we would have been fine with a 4th couple. Beds were comfortable, house was clean, host responded very quickly to a couple small issues that we were able to resolve promptly on our own. Loved the hot tub and firepit out back! So quiet there, and the house had everything you could need! We especially loved the little ‘forgotten items’ box as one couple forgot toothpaste and another forgot shampoo. Neighbor was very nice and jumped our car when the battery died. Great location so close to many attractions. This is not a luxury cabin by any means, but the charm and cleanliness was on par!

Perfect lodging in Rapid City
House was flawless, 4 bedrooms 3 baths. Very comfortable. Had an issue with water pressure on day one but was quickly resolved. Host was as responsive as anyone I've known. We did not utilize the hot tub, grill, outside as we were riding all day. But was a very relaxful evening unwinding

When we checked in we realized that this wasn't a true house or cabin as it was a double wide trailer on a foundation. We found broken window slats and a broken window in several of the bedrooms. Water pressure was not great. When one shower was running the other shower had little pressure at all. The worst part was when we went to strip the bedding as instructed, we discovered dried blood on one of the pillows in the master bedroom and we also discovered we had been sleeping in a bed that had a mattress pad that was pee stained and the mattress in the master bedroom. When we informed the owner they offered us a small refund. This was ridiculous on a Very big bill for three nights. Great location, but I would definitely stay somewhere else in the area. Not pleased spending that kind of money and getting that kind of service. We have stayed at several different places in the Hills over the years and this was the most expensive and also the most disappointing.

The place is 'off the beaten path', which we liked, but was a bit hard to find after dark. Secluded enough to relax and really get away. Quite enjoyable time spent there. Would recommend it and will likely stay there again.
