Solides Blockhaus am Fluss Sandy. 

Dieses 2831 Quadratmeter große Haus mit vier Schlafzimmern und 3,5 Bädern befindet sich in privater Lage am wilden und malerischen Sandy River und bietet einen weiten Blick auf das Wasser aus dem Inneren des Hauses. Whirlpool mit Blick auf den Fluss, äußerst bequeme Betten und Möbel.

Dieses Haus verfügt über zwei Master-Suiten im Erdgeschoss mit Badewanne, Schieferumrandung, Blick auf den Fluss und Zugang zu einer überdachten Terrasse.

Gourmetküche, alle Annehmlichkeiten, Netflix / DVD-Player in beiden Schlafzimmern und im Wohnzimmer, WIFI und warmer und gemütlicher Pelletofen !!

Für 14 Personen mit 4 Queensize-Betten, zwei Futons und einem Etagenbett.

Das Haus ist nur wenige Schritte vom Sandy River entfernt und von wunderschönen Aspen-Bäumen umgeben. Die Feuerstelle im Hintergrund bietet großartige Unterhaltung im Freien für Familie und Freunde. Entspannen Sie im Whirlpool am Flussufer oder machen Sie es sich auf dem Holzkohlegrill gemütlich und genießen Sie köstliche Speisen und Erinnerungen.

Brightwood ist nur 20 Minuten von Ski Bowl und 35 Minuten von Timberline und Mt. entfernt. Hood Meadows zum Skifahren und Snowboarden. Zahlreiche Wander- und Radwege sowie zahlreiche Restaurants und kleine Geschäfte säumen den Highway 26, der ebenfalls nur 5 bis 10 Minuten entfernt liegt.

Great cabin by the river
The cabin was larger and roomier than we expected. All the bedrooms are very spacious with plenty of room to put a child on the floor or pack n play if needed. The location is great and convenient to Mt Hood activities. The river behind the house made for a beautiful setting. Definitely recommend and would stay there again! A few notes - there isn’t really a fenced backyard so small children definitely shouldn’t be left alone behind the house as it backs up right to the rivers edge with about an eight foot drop. Don’t count on the tvs working - internet was slow and spotty and only one tv is internet enabled, which didn’t work anyway because of the slow internet speed.

Beautiful spot, a few issues
We came to stay with our family including several kids. When we arrived at the cabin for check in, there was no running water at the house. I called, texted and sent a VRBO message. It took over an hour to hear back from the host. During that time we had to drive to the store and buy water in order to cook dinner. When we finally heard back we were told there was “maintenance” and it should be on soon. No apology or further follow up from the host. It sounded like they were aware of the outage but it was never communicated to us. It came back after ~2 hours. The good: Beautiful location on the river Quiet/private Great hot tub The bad: Not cleaned well (dishes were put away dirty, crumbs on counter/in sink, grill dirty & used spatula on the grill) Not well stocked (only 2 kitchen towels, no dish rack, not a lot of silverware for such a big place, minimal towels for bathing/hot tub.) Dish washer did not clean thoroughly, and garbage disposal was broken. It’s an amazing house but just felt like it’s been neglected in the way some rentals are. The lack of communication about the water being off was also disappointing and added a lot of stress to our arrival, as well as extra costs to purchase water. For the cost of our stay, I expected better.

Spacious, cozy home, great location
Very cozy and welcoming space, the rooms are large and super comfy! Kitchen area was great and well-equipped. Also appreciated the abundant parking! Close proximity to the Brightwood store and Tavern, and easy access to hwy 26. Low enough in elevation to not need chains to get up to the house. Very friendly neighbors as well! The beautiful view overlooking the Sandy River was the cherry on top!

Nice riverside log cabin for summery long weekend
My family checked in on Thursday and stayed 3 nights. Directions to the cabin and checking in was easy. The home is quite large, and the 7 of us had plenty of room for sleeping, cooking, playing games, and even quiet reflection outdoors. A fire ban was in place, so we didn't get to enjoy campfires, but we enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. The dining table is massive. The kitchen had plenty of equipment though some is a bit worn, and some items like foil/plastic wrap and kitchen rags/oven mits were absent. We made do easily enough or made short trips to the small store in Brightwood if needed. The space around the cabin is not fenced, and the bank of the river is a tumbled wall of large boulders 6-8 ft or so high up to the cabin property. This gave us a little cause for concern about our dogs, but it proved easily managed as they saw the drop and were appropriately cautious. The property is well tended but forested, so there is no lawn (not that we expected a lawn). The weather was pretty hot (for Oregon), and the house has ceiling fans but no AC, and ventilating the house to cool it was tricky in that the back door had no screen on it, so getting good ventilation involved leaving the door wide open. Overall, we enjoyed the home and our stay quite nicely.

Great place, beautiful location, Hot tub was amazing.
Over all the place was amazing. The hot tub was probably the coolest part along with the view and the fact that there is a fire pit out there. It's really close to Mount Hood so you can go there and take advantage of their activities there. The only part that wasn't great is there is not a lot of service and also at times Netflix wouldn't work due to the internet issues. Maybe a DVD player and DVDs would have made the trip a little better. Overall this place was amazing!!!! Would recommend.

Amazing home for family memories
This is a classic vintage home located in a gorgeous setting. It is literally surrounded by a beautiful forrest of massive trees and is so quiet and peaceful. The best feature is the river that runs right in front of the house as well as the two decks that provide the perfect opportunity to take it all in. Every morning we would wake up to coffee on the front deck and the sounds of the flowing river and every night we would enjoy the hot tub, which also has views of the river. We also had a campfire and s’mores using the outdoor fire pit and wood provided (which was much appreciated). Just a quick 5 minute drive into town for restaurants and food shopping and 30 minutes to the ski mountain, the location was perfect. If you are looking for more of a modern “cookie cutter” type home, then this is not the house for you, but if you want authentic charm and a vintage home in an unbelievably beautiful setting, then you will not be disappointed.

A too short stay at this river front house. Celeste was very generous in letting us host a dinner party for a large group of family, staying in a different VRBO which would not allow a group our size. Everyone had an amazing time enjoying the hot tub and view of the river. This was our 2nd visit to this beautiful property. Plan to come again in the future.

Nice cabin on the river
This Mt. Hood area cabin was a great spot for our big family. Very spacious, comfy, and had everything we needed. The cleaners didn't do the best job before we checked in and there were only a handful of bath towels for our party of 10, but other than that it was great. Would book again, thanks!

❤️ Amazing Weekend!!
We rented this beautiful cabin for a family weekend and absolutely Loved it!! Comfortable and cozy with the river right outside the back door. Well appointed with everything you could need! Relaxing in the hot tub, S’mores at the fire pit and laughing under the stars….I’d call that close to a perfect weekend!

Great place right on Sandy river. Plenty of room for 4 couples plus an extra room if needed. Wi-Fi is really slow but does slow for WiFi enabled phone calls and Netflix streaming. The house is well equipped for cooking. Coffee pot broke on the first day and the owner had one shipped out immediately.

The place is beautiful...
It was very peaceful. There were a few things left in the house that was inappropriate for children and they found the items before we did. We contacted the owner and she apologized and said she was looking for a new cleaning company. The place is very spacious and very well stocked with anything you'd need. We will be back!!!!

Great location on Sandy River. Very nice new hot tub. Great bonfire area right on the river. Cabin has great bones but needs some major TLC. The heat wouldn’t turn off and our kids cooked upstairs while they slept. Unfortunately several windows were broken and there were no screens so very dangerous to open up for fresh air for families with small children like ours. Dishwasher barely worked and did not clean the dishes. They were grimy and we ended up having to hand wash everything. The TVs didn’t work. There is no Netflix like the listing says. BBQ was super dirty and we weren’t able to use it like we thought we would be able to. No Welcome book to see how to check out. We had no cell service and couldn’t access Wi-Fi.

Wow wow wow this location is absolutely amazing and the cabin is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures do not describe this place at all. This was a co-worker ski trip and now we all want to come back and book this place with our own families. Absolutely 5 star experience. Loved the hot tub too after a long day of skiing.

Very Nice Holiday Stay
Stayed just before Christmas. The location right next to the river is awesome. The house is roomy and comfortable, and the hosts were kind enough to set up a Christmas tree for us. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
