Just what the doctor ordered!
Our host Joanne was a pleasure to communicate with, and her rental was so quiet you could hear a needle drop! A wonderful contrast to the screaming kids that use us as play gyms. 😂 We didn't get a chance to use the amenities as I was sick, but got to see an adorable family of deer both days we were there, and the view from the deck was spectacular! We were also impressed with the quality and quantity of pots and pans, and enjoyed cooking in. The furniture and beds were very comfortable, and we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!

Serenity at its best
We stayed 3 weeks at this lovely home. The views were exceptional. We could see the rain in the distant mountains, the deer in the brush below the deck and the butterflies were everywhere. Our host made certain we were comfortable and well taken care of. The home had everything one could imagine - so many little things that one may not remember. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans etc. There were staple items present - seasonings, oil, rice, ketchup, etc. The home was clean - three bedrooms - each with its own bath- 2 on main floor, one upstairs. Beds were comfortable. There were smart TVs in the living room and all three bedrooms. We do not subscribe to streaming but there was plenty of options for us to watch anything we wanted. It was quiet and relaxing. Dinner at the Old Beau clubhouse restaurant was excellent. We do not golf but appreciated the grounds. There are several trails right on the complex to explore. There is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool available for our use. The best thing is our host was very approachable and quickly responds to any concerns or questions in a very timely manner. It's one of our favorite spots, especially if you want peace and quiet and want to just relax, which was our goal for this trip.

Outstanding Property!
Our 10-day stay at Joanne's property at Old Beau Resort was amazing! Joanne's property was beautiful, and the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains was amazing. The location was perfect, as it gave us short access to the Blue Ridge Parkway with it's surreal overlooks. The pool was great for my wife and daughter. The hiking trails at the resort were great. We highly recommend this property! Joanne was so easy to work with during the reservation process. Thx Joanne for making our vacation one of the best ever! We will definitely be back! Mike D.

We really enjoyed our stay. This place is beautiful and the views are amazing. The pictures don’t do it justice. Joanne was so easy to work with and answered my questions quickly. The one site contact, Richard, answered the phone over the weekend and was super helpful. Do not forget about the indoor pool and the hot tub. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. This trip was such a wonderful break from the hustle of daily life and stress and was the perfect sisters getaway. Thank you! Perfect place for a family getaway!
This the an ideal place if you’re looking for a peaceful, quiet respite from daily life. The entire Old Beau resort has a nice feel of seclusion, and we enjoyed the tennis courts and pools. The resort restaurant is not very reliable, look in Sparta for more options (though most restaurants are closed on Mondays- even holiday Mondays). It’s also an easy drive to Stone Mountain State Park. It’s one of our favorite NC state parks and we enjoyed hiking every day. The view on the back deck is just beautiful and we loved sitting on the deck. The kitchen is well supplied and they were kind to have dish soap and dishwasher tabs there for us to use. Overall, this is on our list of places we’d like to stay again.

Thank you for such a wonderful stay in your cottage! Everything was just as it was listed on VRBO. The view from the back deck is so wonderful and a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. They beds were comfy, the kitchen had great gadgets, bowls and dishes, and the whole house was spotless. Robert, the local guest contact, helped us with any questions and was incredibly quick to respond. Would definitely book it again!

Wonderful autumn trip
View is fabulous. All of Olde Beau is a lovely property. House was immaculately clean and well stocked with basics. Plenty of seating, comfortable beds, spacious rooms. You must be smart TV savvy/ have your own logins. Great location for Stone Mountain park and wineries. We particularly enjoyed Shelton Vineyards in Dobson, they also have a restaurant on site.
