We arrived late in the evening, long after office hours, but we had informed the manager in advance, so it was no problem. When we arrived we were met outside the hotel - otherwise we might not have found it, as the hotel is located in the fourth floor of what seems to be an apartment building. Then, after showing us our room, the manager took a city map and explained to us patiently and in great detail all the important things about what to do in Rome, how to get there, where to eat, and so on. All in all, the first impression could hardly have been better.
The building where the hotel is located is rather old, but the hotel itself is in very good condition. Our room was very nice and cosy and easily big enough, the only tiny point of criticism I can think of is that there was no cupboard - however, this was not much of a problem as we stayed only for three nights. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable. It also contained a small fridge that contained two bottes of water, which were replaced daily for free. The bathroom was very spacious and had a pretty stylish shower.
For an extra 5 EUR per day it would have been possible to have continental breakfast in the hotel, but we didn't take that option, so I can't say anything about it.
If you can live with a limited amount of luxury, and otherwise value cosiness, cleanliness, a friendly staff, and a central location, and all that for a very reasonable price, then this is the hotel for you. We would definitely take it again.
