„We have been spending a lot of time in hotels while we go bike riding on the trails that are farther away. By far this hotel was the cleanest I have been to in a long while. We had a problem with our tv and they tried so hard to fix it, when they realized it wasn’t going to be resolved with an easy fix they moved us to another room. It was a wonderful get away and the hotel was so comfortable and clean.“

„My husband and I stayed at The Country School Bunk House for 2 nights and 3 days. Andrea and Sheldon were great hosts and the Bunk House was comfortable and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We enjoyed visiting with Kadi their dog, their donkey, pony, and chickens. While here we went to Niagara Cave in Harmony, we biked the Root River State bike trail and hiked Mystery Cave State Park. We also went to an Amish farmers market. We had a great time and plan to visit this area again.“

„From the first moment we walked in I was so impressed with how fresh the house smelt along with how clean it was! I loved that there was a high chair for my daughter to use, having one less thing to pack! Over all will definitely be planning on stay again when we are in the area!“

„We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Root River Retreat and would stay here again! Easy check-in and check-out process. The space was clean, cozy and contained everything we needed for a short stay to enjoy golf and biking. Beds and furnishings were very comfortable. Towels and bedding were soft and new. Host was a gem, providing bike storage and parking space. She answered our questions very quickly and provided delicious cookies to enjoy upon our arrival. „Three of us stayed here last February. Enjoyed it so much came back with two of our friends. As like February our stay was wonderful. We were able to take nice walks as the weather was perfect. The house is very well stocked. Only other comment is the pictures on the website needs to be updated. Would most definitely stay again if we get down this way again.“

„We used this house as a base for biking the Root River Trail. The pictures don't do justice to the inside of this house, it is really upscale. Everything was cleaned, well stocked and the hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be recommending this property to our friends. Most enjoyable time was watching the storm come in while sitting on the porch.“

„Stayed for couples golf/biking weekend. Loacated close to both Lanesboro and Harmony. We were able to bike to Lanesboro and enjoy that area one day and also checked out Harmony. No issues at the house. Would go back.“

„We've stayed at many VRBOs, from mountain cabins to beach houses. But my daughter, who loves animals, said this was her favorite VRBO ever!
