Hope Cottage is an air-conditioned 2 bed / 2 bath home, tucked away off the main street in a quiet neighbourhood on Russell Island and is just a minute’s walk from an uncrowded white-sand beach and shallow turquoise waters. The home offers 2 bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom; making it ideal for small families with kids, or for two couples. The second bedroom can be converted into a king if requested.
The cozy kitchen is stocked with all the necessities, and a comfortable living room opens onto an outdoor sitting area, that extends into a beautifully manicured garden, the perfect space to relax and unwind, surrounded by mature, tropical foliage and cool ocean breezes.
The cottage is conveniently located near the bridge so an easy drive to all the restaurants and stores.

Amazing house! Amazing location!

Hope Cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We cooked two meals, took the beach chairs provided to the beach (one block down, easily walkable, and the best beach on the island! Plenty of towels (in great shape), the beds and living room furniture were comfortable, even had 2 TV’s with lots of channels for the one night we chose to stay up late and bond. The covered parking helped tremendously during the spotty rain showers that islands will always have. The 2-person kayak was easily driven/walked to the beach access for a fun day kayaking the mangroves. The hostess even provided drinking water, which was a huge help. She also provided Johnny cakes and my daughter devoured them! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect- can’t wait to return

Overall an excellent stay! House was clean and well appointed- on the smaller side, but hey, you should be out enjoying Spanish Wells! The bedrooms were great, so nice to have two en suite bathrooms. Kitchen was great, well-organized. We LOVED the garden and using the kayak! Definitely recommend a golf cart rental which the host can help arrange. On that subject, the host was excellent and very communicative! We fully plan to return in the future and stay at this property again!

Perfect Location Near Beaches

My husband and I loved this property! It was super clean and while we did not require the second bedroom, it did provide a nice space to spread out our belongings and organize for the trip back home. The King size bed was extraordinarily comfortable, and each of us having our own bathroom was a huge plus. The neighborhood was very quiet, no disturbances at all! Finally, if you enjoy cooking the kitchen provided a large area for prepping while at the same time allowing room for others to pull up a stool to be a part of things. We hope to visit again in the years to come.

Great Get-Away

I was visiting a friend who lives on Spanish Wells and she recommended Hope Cottage. The location on Russell Island was a short distance, by golf cart, to visit my friend "in town." The location was quiet and peaceful, a few steps to the beach. A very safe neighborhood.The cottage was very clean and well equipped with everything I needed. It was a very nice place to stay and would recommend to people coming to visit Spanish Wells.

Loved Hope Cottage

Really All You Need

This cute, comfortable, simple 2 bedroom home was such a great home base for spending as much time as possible on the beautiful beaches and water surrounding Spanish Wells. The shallow beach 50 steps from our house, the quiet neighborhood, the friendly neighbors made this such a perfect spot. This house isn't fancy but had comfortable beds, two en-suite bathrooms, was clean, and a kitchen that allowed us to make good use of fish and lobster for dinner from Bernards. The property manager was kind, and left us johnnycakes and plaintains. Would highly recommend.

Great stay

Wonderful stay at Hope Cottage. Loved watching the birds in the lovely backyard. Cottage is very well equipped, Denise and Rebecca both were so responsive and went above and beyond. The beach is minutes away and so fun to walk on the sandbar.

It was perfect..

This sweet place suited the 4 of us jus perfect! It was clean and tidy and had most all we needed! Denise was wonderful esp when the oven didnt work, she had it fixed and taken care of within 24 hours. When i needed a roaster, she brought it right over. No complaints dother then water pressure voukd have been a litrle stronger. Def recommend this place. Would def stay again...

my 70th Birthday trip

Hope Cottage was a lovely place to begin our two-week stay on Russell Island/Spanish Wells. The realtor (Becky) and the owner (Denise) were very responsive to our requests: we had nice, vest-style lifejackets within an hour of our request, and we loved having the 2-person kayak. The kitchen was very well equipped, and we loved having Johnny cakes there when we arrived - delicious. The main guest room bed was firm and very comfortable. The showers were spacious, plenty of hot water, albeit low shower water pressure. The backyard was extremely peaceful and inviting to sit, read, or just relax with many beautiful trees and plants. It would be helpful to include written directions for tv operation in the renters guide book, and the living room furniture was ok for two adults, but might be inadequate for four adults. Conveniently located very close to the bridge to Spanish Wells, and very close to our favorite restaurant, Sandbar Bar and Grill, which had the best food and service of anywhere on either Island.

The cottage has everything you need from kitchen essentials, laundry, and more. The backyard was gorgeous with all the native trees. The owners picked some mangoes for us which was a lovely touch! We enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be back.

Super cottage in a super location

We spent 10 days at Hope Cottage. The property is clean and well-stocked. Plenty of space for the three of us. The beach is a short walk away and you can snorkel right from there. Our host was super and really looked after us. We also went out on the boat with her husband and had a great time snorkelling and feeding turtles. We had a great time and will be back!

Just perfect !

Exceeded our expectations. Our hostess was amazingly accessible and responsive. Place was absolutely clean. The outside was so cozy that we enjoyed taking our coffee/drinks with the view of the ocean in the distant. Literally at 1min walking distance from one of the most beautiful beaches. Must get a cart to explore the island, we had so much fun with it. Simply a gem! Thank you Denise 🙏
