Le Chalet du Ciel (The Chalet in the Sky) is a fully serviced luxury Chalet located alone without neighbors in the Swiss mountains in the middle of nature and just 14 miles away (22 minute drive) from the ski slopes and hiking trails around the famous resort of Gstaad. This is a real “Heidi” Chalet located high above the famous cheese village of L’Etivaz with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and total privacy surrounded by the beauty of the Alps.
SUMMER TIME: Surrounded by fields and forests with beautiful hiking trails the chalet has a working dairy cow farm in summer time producing the best cheese in Switzerland. In summertime, you will see lots of cows and of course, hear their bells.
WINTER TIME: In winter time you are alone surrounded by the peaceful quiet and beautiful sights of nature and should you wish to ski you are close to the best skiing on offer in Switzerland. The nearest slopes are just a 6 minute drive away. The 200km of slopes open from the end of October to the start of May.
Built in 1890 and recently modernized, the chalet is south facing enjoying all day sun and late into the evening. The 500-Sq meter chalet is completely private with absolutely no neighbors (apart from the cows in summer) and has over 150 square meters of panoramic terraces. The main terrace has covered lounge seating for 12 persons as well as a covered dining area for 12 persons.
RESIDENT 24/7 CHALET BUTLER
As a luxury full-service Chalet, just like a 5 star hotel we provide a resident Chalet Butler who is available 24/7 to ensure that you have an incredible stay. Our on site butler is there to make sure your stay is perfect.
Our resident Chalet Butler offers daily housekeeping services at Chalet Du Ciel and will be available 24/7 to assist should you require anything throughout your stay. Discretely and carefully, our Chalet Butler will ensure that the kitchen and every room is always clean and tidy meaning that you can simply sit back and relax and enjoy your stay.
Upon arrival at Chalet Du Ciel our Butler will greet you and assist with luggage. He will provide you with hot or cold lavender-scented towels to refresh you after your journey. He will then show you around the chalet and answer any questions that you may have.
Our Chalet Butler will provide morning housekeeping services and an early evening turn-down service so that you can enjoy a beautifully made bed each evening as well as have the bathrooms refreshed.
For stays of 7 nights or more, we offer complimentary mid-week towel and linen change.
There is a 150 CHF per night fee for this service which is required to be paid locally at the property at the end of your stay. This service is not optional and is not included in your booking fee paid online. Payment by credit card is accepted.

The luxury chalet is Authentic and made by master crafts in wood and takes you back to the original days of the past. This all-wood original masterpiece has an indoor dining room seating 10 a fully equipped modern kitchen, separate sitting room seating 10 with 70 Inch TV with Sky TV, Netflix, etc. The chalet has fully working WiFi provided by Space X Starlink and has a wood fireplace as well as central heating.
The luxury chalet has its own “ancient kitchen cheese fondue room” with an original stone floor and fireplace which acts as another cozy dining room seating up to 8.
Experience a Chalet Du Ciel champagne fondue / raclette night where our Chalet Manager will prepare champagne fondue made with local cheese and Swiss raclette for just CHF 45 per head.
THE BEDROOMS:
On the 2nd Floor, you’ll find bedrooms 1 - 3 which are the main 3 bedrooms of the chalet each with king-size beds and with views of the surrounding mountains. The two Master bedrooms have beautiful private terraces with stunning views. The new Master Bedroom has the most incredible views and a brand-new Master bathroom. You’ll enjoy a stone bathtub that sits 3 persons, a rain shower, and all with the same incredible views. The bathroom even has a hi-tech electric toilet that does everything!
On the 3rd floor, you’ll find bedrooms 4 - 5 which can sleep a total of 5 persons. Bedroom 4 has 4 single beds and Bedroom 5 is a double room.

With so many areas to explore it’s a very cute and adorable farmhouse chalet and ideal for those looking for a traditional Swiss Chalet away from the city with complete privacy and stunning views.
In winter you are surrounded by the mountains and the road will be cleared by the commune every day there is a further 300-meter private drive to the chalet giving a further sense of total privacy which will also be cleared for access to the chalet.
MINIMUM STAYS REQUIRED
We have a minimum stay of 2 nights at the Chalet throughout the year. However, during the holiday periods, the following minimum stays apply;
Easter 2024- Minimum 7 Nights
Christmas 2024 - Minimum 10 Nights -
New Year 2024/2025 - Minimum 10 Nights
Christmas & New Year - Minimum 14 Nights
Important Notice:
Although the chalet is isolated in the mountains with no neighbors we strictly do not allow parties and absolutely no loud music after 9 pm. Sound travels in the mountains and we don’t want to upset the cheese farmers sleeping on another side of the mountain. If you are looking to do an event with music this can be arranged in the winter season with a supplemental fee of 3000 CHF to 6000 CHF added to the booking depending on the event.
The Agreed Fee for unauthorized events; is 7,500 CHF which will be charged to your booking and the booking immediately terminated. We respect our local neighbors and their quiet life and we please ask you to do the same.
