„If we only rated this on the overall stay, it would be 4-5 stars after a rough start. It took forever to get the code to the house and once we did get in the house was filthy. We don't mean a little dirt on the counter or dishes in the sink, we mean bathrooms that someone was clearly sick in, wet areas on bedspreads soaking to sheets, rugs and floors that were so dirty we questioned walking on even with shoes. „We had the best week escaping from the hustle of daily life. The house and location were perfect, equipped with everything we needed. The screen porch was so enjoyable and serene. The front yard was great for throwing frisbee with the dogs. Host had exceptional communication. We will definitely stay again. “

„Great house for a large group and a very friendly and helpful host. We had a group of 9 plus 2 pups in the house and there was plenty of space to accomodate all. Other than a minor issue with the hot water heater circuit breaker tripping once, no complaints. It should be noted we stayed in the middle of a winter cold snap, so that issue was probably weather related.“

„We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beach cottage and hope to be back in the future. We have family nearby so it was a great landing spot to be near them as well as Beaufort. The grounds are beautiful with meticulous landscaping, and it’s close to Fort Freemont if you like to explore historical sites. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway on the island!“

„My wife & I stayed in this property for 18 nights. It is located on the idyllic Dataw Island, just 10 minutes from beautiful Beaufort and 10 minutes from the magnificent beach at Hunting Island. Dataw Island is quiet, safe & picturesque. Wildlife is abundant (Alligators; Dolphins; Deer; Raccoon; and so many bird species) ..... whilst at the same time it has a lovely outdoor pool, wildlife area, golf courses etc. The property was well located, well maintained and quiet.“
