"The building is beautiful and in a great location - less than 5 minutes walk from the centre/old historic streets. The room was large and airy, the bed incredibly comfortable (a firm mattress) and the bathroom beautifully decorated with a window (floor to ceiling length, stained glass, beautiful!) that opened. Hot, powerful shower. The building is stunning, so much character. The one small negative was mixed communication - all the emails we had from the hotel were in French (understandably)...

"We spent a very enjoyable week celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday. The barn is spacious with plenty of area for the kids to play and adults to relax. The bedrooms are large and all beds very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed plenty of good meals at the huge dinning table. The pool is great, although the weather was unseasonably cold when we stayed and the pool had an issue and did not reach temp until the day we left. "The good points - lovely pool, very peaceful, friendly neighbours and cats. The not so good points - bedrooms awful, could not stand upright, and access to open the windows difficult. No latching on bedroom door, had to be wedged shut. Little clothes wardrobe space. Not suitable for young children and older adults due to the 27 steps from ground floor to the bedrooms. Unpleasant fumes from the mower in the garage almost over-powering."

"What a fantastic setting in lovely wooded surroundings & carp lake for fishing. Taunya was friendly & welcoming & stopped at nothing to make sure our stay went smoothly. Fishing was great fun especially when a carp dragged my rod across the lake. We thoroughly recommend this holiday for relaxing & watching the wildlife."

"Convenient hotel near the city center and train station. Very friendly staff! Cleaning in our room was half done but they quickly fixed the problem once we notified them. Breakfast was too high for our budget but we were offered a cheaper option which we declined as we didn’t know at what time we wanted it to be ready in the morning (we’re on vacation). Metered parking available on the street in front of the hotel. "
