3 Bedroom Home in Historic Deco District - Minutes from Downtown

Welcome to Keystone Retreat, your perfect home away from home in San Antonio! Our charming 3 bedroom home plus detached Casita, is located in the Keystone neighborhood in the Deco District, a vibrant and up and coming area in the heart of San Antonio.

Built in the 1940s, our home has been thoughtfully updated and decorated with classic design, offering a unique and stylish experience for our guests. The home features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a detached Casita with bunk beds and living space. The home comfortably sleeps 8 and that is maximum capacity.

We believe in a good night's sleep and have provided high end mattresses with premium linens. Both down and synthetic pillows are available for your choosing, as well as down duvets and cotton blankets.

The Casita is detached from the main house and is located in the fenced yard. It has a living area with futon, TV, a sink area and a dedicated remote work desk, perfect for those who need to work from home during their stay. (Note: There is not a bathroom in the Casita)

The recently remodeled kitchen, in the main house, supplies all your needs for a family meal. Also provided is a full size washer and dryer with detergent for your convenience. There is a private covered patio with dining table and a grill for a nice meal outdoors.

We do allow pets but must be pre-approved prior to booking. There is a two dog maximum and requires a pet fee upon booking. (Please see pet rules prior to booking)

The temperature in the home is kept between 70 and 78 for your comfort.

Our home is located just a short distance from downtown San Antonio and other popular tourist attractions, such as the Alamo, River Walk, and Pearl District. Only 20 minutes from Lackland AFB and perfect for families attending Air Force BMT graduation ceremonies.

The Keystone neighborhood is known for its active and friendly community, making it the perfect place to stay for those looking to experience the local San Antonio culture. Whether you are visiting for business or pleasure, Keystone Retreat is a comfortable home base for your San Antonio adventures.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. We had to be in San Antonio for my grandson’s graduation from basic training at Lackland Air Force base and decided to rent a house rather than hotel rooms. The house was set up for living. Plant towels and was stocked in the kitchen and the bathrooms. The outdoor patio was lovely. We took plenty family pictures in thebeautiful back yard. We spent all of my grandson’s leave at the house spending time together feeling at home. I will definitely rent this home again if ever back in San Antonio.

Great location for exploring the San Antonio area

This house was great for our family of five. There was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals. The listing pictures are accurate and show the many amenities included. The hosts were available for quick communication if needed. Centrally located for easy 10 to 15 minutes drives to all attractions we visited. A great value for the price charged. Would recommend for family vacations.

Simply the BEST!

Our stay at the Keystone retreat truly exceeded our expectations. James and Honey have provided absolutely everything you could want or need to be completely at home. The house is so well maintained, and exceptionally clean. The beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms were well stocked with great towels...I could go on and on! You can tell this home is loved, and these hosts care about your comfort.

A wonderful month at Keystone Retreat

We spent all of February at this property and couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. A beautiful home; high quality beds and furniture; a fully stocked kitchen lacking for nothing; and a beautiful backyard patio and fenced yard for our dog. They went above and beyond for us - a free mid-month cleaning and new throw blankets when the weather turned record cold. Warm donuts and orange juice delivered the morning we departed. Honey and James are indeed superior hosts…and their home is a superior rental.

Airman graduated

Th home was very clean and organized. We were in Texas for our airman’s graduation. There was plenty of room for 6 adults. We like to play cards and there were plenty of games and poker for us to play. We grilled burgers out since airman just wanted to relax. The home was only about 25 minutes from the base and drive was easy to get there. I would definitely recommend this home if you’re looking for a place.

The beds were fantastic so comfy, anything you would need was there,even mosquito sprayfor outside.This is not important to some ,but it had GOOD toilet paper,not the cheap thin type at motels.This a wonderful place ,the host were so thoughtful and kind,i highly recommend this home.

Forever friends

The owners of this cute little place are the absolute best! We booked this adorable house for a girl's trip to see an Aerosmith concert. The owners made our trip special having an Aerosmith record available, memorabilia and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy during our stay! This updated rental has it all! Great host communication, comfortable beds, clean rooms, great location and a quiet neighborhood making our trip easy and relaxing.

Perfect Stay for Air Force Graduation – Clean, Comfortable, and Conveniently Located

We stayed at this house for my son's Air Force graduation, and the location was perfect—just 30 minutes from the base and 15 minutes from the Riverwalk. The house was very clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It was also well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. If we ever find ourselves back in San Antonio, we wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.

Very peaceful

At first I was skeptical of the location but once we turned into the subdivision area it was better. The house is an older home but very well maintained and updated. The pics are exactly what the house and property look like the house was stocked with everything but groceries lol. Even though the kids had me thinking the house was haunted at one point it was them telling Google to turn all the lights on and off lol. Definitely recommend and will def stay again

This was a good place to stay

There was a separate cottage for the big kid and two of the bedrooms shared a hallway and a bathroom, with a door to close off that part of the house at the kids bedtime. TBH we spent most of the time in the luxurious backyard. Grocery store in walking distance and under 10 minute drive to the convention center, which was convenient. I don’t really have anything negative to say.
