Welcome to this beautiful 3bd/2bth 1400 sqft home in San Diego's historic Little Italy/Banker’s Hill neighborhood. Eloquently decorated mid-century modern spacious unit includes plenty of space for family and friends and bonus outdoor living area with a fire pit, bocce court, synthetic turf and paver stone areas. A property this large and these amenities are rarely found in such a great location. Walking distance or short Uber to San Diego's top attractions (see below). Don't hesitate, book now!

Location, location, location! The home is the perfect location for anyone visiting San Diego for the first time or 20th time because of its fantastic walkability and closeness to San Diego's top attractions and activities.

The space:
This Spanish style villa was originally constructed in 1928 and has undergone a full restoration which provides modern comfort while maintaining the original style and charm. A chef's kitchen includes all the fixings and the dining room with table for 6 is perfect for hosting. Unit includes: AC/heat, walk in laundry room with washer/dryer, high-end stainless steel appliances, quartz counter tops, high end custom cabinets with slow closing drawers & hinges, under-counter LED lighting, beautifully restored original hardwood floors, recessed LED lighting and ceiling fans, solid core doors, custom bathrooms with high end tub and shower.

We are proud to provide a space perfect for the full family, including our smallest and furriest family members. We are pet friendly and this family friendly unit also includes a pack and play for the smallest members of your family. We've also stocked the unit with cards, board games and a Nintendo 64 to keep the whole family entertained.

Neighborhood description:
The home is nestled in the heart of San Diego in the historic Midtown neighborhood and is within walking distance or a 10 minute drive to some of San Diego’s top attractions including: Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Gaslamp Quarter, Waterfront Park, Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum, Seaport Village, Ocean Beach, San Diego Museum of Art, Old Town State Historic Park, the San Diego Bay, Harbor cruises and San Diego Whale Watching Cruises.

Walking distance to some of San Diego's best restaurants, bars and entertainment: Mister A's, Herb & Wood, Juniper & Ivy, Nolita Hall, Born & Raised, Kettner Exchange, Ballast Point Brewery, Ironside, Camino Riveria, Coca Maya, Cloak & Petal, Cucina Urbana, Azuki sushi, Crack Shack.

Help yourself to the citrus, feel free to cut fresh roses from the English yellow rose tree or enjoy the scents of the two large plumeria trees. Little Italy weekend
This property is very clean and easy for a family. The beds were great and the outdoor space was comfortable. Walkable to restaurants and Little Italy. The only downside or upside, depending on perspective, is the proximity to airplane traffic. We enjoy planes, they are close, but with windows closed for sleep you won’t have issues. Host was very friendly,prompt and accommodating!

Great location, great property, clean!
Location was convenient, just a short walk to Little Italy, the place was clean and very well furnished and equipped. Beds were comfy as well. As other have noticed the location is on the final approach to San Diego International and on a hill so large planes are only a couple hundred feet above. I like plane spotting so this was a bonus. Noise wasn't bad with the windows closed. There is also noise from the freeway which is very close, but it was more of a white noise to us. Feedback - as someone else mentioned in a review - towels are getting tired. The hall bathroom shower was confusing to operate and could benefit having some written instructions (there are two controls, one for the water another for the two shower heads). Master bath had 1/2 of the lightbulbs out in the vanity. Hall Bath had one (or two). Fridge had chilled water and ice which was nice, but the filter was flashing that it needs to be replaced. Parking wasn't ever an issue for us, either right out front or the driveway if it was available. Would totally stay here again.

Beautiful space, close to everything
The property was super clean and spacious, and had thoughtful amenities. Walking distance to restaurants in Little Italy and to the waterfront. Like others mentioned, it is right in the landing path for the airport, but couldn’t hear them inside and we didn’t mind them sitting in the back yard and watching the planes while we sat around the lovely fire pit. Also we really appreciated having guaranteed parking! Had a little issue and the property management was super fast to respond. Towels are getting a little tired and had to jiggle the handle on the master toilet, but for the price, location, cleanliness and amount of space, would definitely stay again!!

San Diego Vacation
We were supposed to be in the Gulf of Mexico, due to hurricane Beryl we did a last minute change of plans and opted for San Diego. The location of this home was wonderful, parking was never an issue. Our kids were so exhausted from the beach and daily adventures everyone slept great, noise was not an issue. The property is just as described, we spent an evening in the backyard and enjoyed the firepit and a movie night. It was an overall great stay, we would definitely come back and stay in this home. Our older kids loved walking down to Little Italy for coffee, dinner, and the market on Wednesday. The property owner is very responsive.

Great vacation spot!
The whole family enjoyed our stay at Garrett’s place. All the beds were comfy with great pillows!! That’s always very important to me. The house was very clean upon arrival. It would have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom to watch while relaxing, but definitely not a deal breaker. You’ll be just minutes from Little Italy. I definitely recommend exploring down there. The house is very close to SAN airport, right in the landing flight path to be exact. It’s a little noisy during the day, but plane traffic slows way down at night. No one had a problem sleeping at night because of the noise. Garrett did provide earplugs, but we didn’t need them. 10/10 would stay here again!!

My kids love the sound of airplanes going over, but at first I was worried with the noise, but it wasn't really a bother at all. Can't beat the location. A shower was quirky, didn't like the sheets, but I would do it again!

Really delightful well appointed & comfortable home near Little Italy
We just got back from our trip to San Diego and Garret's place made all the difference in having a terrific experience for myself and my large family. There were 7 of us including 5 young adults and we had plenty of room for all of us to sleep very comfortably. We were amazed at the amount of great amenities on the property: tons of towels, a super comfortable large blow up mattress, an excellent washer & dryer, toiletries that were really useful, as well as a well appointed kitchen. This was the perfect place for us all to pile in the living room and stream our favorite show after a great day at the beach or touring the college our youngest is about to start. The showers were great & we loved how Garret had the dining table all set up & ready for a nice meal. The airlines flying overhead were really cool to watch from outside. We even got some great videos. The noise was not a problem at all from inside the house, which we super appreciated. We also loved being able to explore vibrant Little Italy which was only a 5 minute walk away. Some of us explored the Harborview area and Waterfront Park, also close by. We were also impressed with the ease of parking our 15 passenger rental van. Every time we had parking right outside the unit, which was amazing. Thank you Garret for your responsiveness & letting us know we had left something and offering to mail it back. This was an absolutely excellent home base for travel anywhere in San Diego. We'll definitely return!

We enjoyed our time in San Diego. The property was the bottom level with a nice backyard and comfortable rooms. We were in town for the Rock ‘n Roll Marathon, and it was an easy jog to the starting line. The owner was pleasant and helpful. The property is in the flight path of the airport. I was nervous, but it didn’t bother us at all.

Highly recommend. Well kept place with plenty of space for our family of four. The location is very convenient to Little Italy, Balboa Park, downtown, the airport and I-5. The host is very responsive. The only downside is being close to the airport's landing runway. When sitting outside it's fun to watch the planes go by, but it is noisy if that bothers you. We were fine with it. Inside is very quiet with windows closed.
