Below you will find details about our 1 bed/ 1 bath vacation home, Capri #102, located on the 1st floor above the ground level of the oceanfront high-rise building Capri by the Sea.

Relax to the sound of the waves hitting the beach from this 1st floor paradise. Walk along the boardwalk right outside the front door and hit the beach to enjoy the sun and surf. Capri by the Sea has many unique condos and this unit is no exception. The views have been highlighted in this unit with floor to ceiling windows that encompass every inch of the viewable space you could have from this amazing home. The views are simply breathtaking.

You will never miss a sunset here! The open California-style kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and eating comfortably at home. The condo sleeps a family of 6. The large bedroom features 2 queen size beds. The living room sofa easily converts into a queen size bed for additional sleeping space. (Ask us for photos!) We provide all the linens and towels needed. The outdoor heated pool, hot tub and lounging area is located just east of the main Capri building and is accessible with your key fob. Additionally we provide beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys.

Attention Guests: Until February 2025, the assigned parking space for this unit will need to be clear for the piping project that is currently in process at Capri by the Sea. During this time, guests of condo #102 are permitted to park in the 15 minute parking zone closest to the lobby door inside the upper garage.

NEED MORE ROOM? If you would like to travel with extended family or other families, we have three 1-bedrooms and three 2- bedrooms in this building; three in a row on the 9th floor, 909, 910 and 911 plus 1005 and 1010 right above them.

Capri by the Sea offers every amenity you could want and need for your stay in San Diego. A single parking space is included with your reservation. The rooftop offers 360 views of Pacific Beach, with BBQ grills and picnic tables and lounge seating. A heated (80 degrees) pool and hot tub are located on the ground floor behind the Capri building and are accessible with your key fob. A washer and dryer (coin-operated) are located at the South end of the hallway just outside the condo. A trash and recycling chute is located on the North end. Your key fob gives access to that condo's floor, lobby, rooftop, garage and pool area. Check-in instructions sent via email will provide more details about how to obtain your keys/lock code and fobs.

Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed)

*NOTE: This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about our home!

It is important for you to read all the details about your property. We highlight everything you need to know about your vacation rental in our listing, through emails, home manuals, in-home signage and phone correspondence. We want our guests to feel prepared, informed and at ease while staying with us. We are always available if you have questions!

Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit along with the House Rules & Rental Agreement. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed.

Attention Guests: In addition to completing our electronic rental agreement, you will also be required to participate in our identity verification process. The service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Please note: for the credit card verification, a $2 hold will be placed on the card to run the report. This hold will never process and will fall off automatically within 7 days. If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. All of our homes offer similar amenities so you can expect the same experience whenever staying with us.

With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. Trash/Recycling, Check-out duties, Communication to management and Care of the home all help us give each guest and family a home to feel at home in. We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a 'starter kit' to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store.

Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, either Keurig coffee makers with k-cups or standard coffee makers, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, co2/fire detectors, and most homes have heat available.

While on vacation, we want our guests to enjoy their vacation to the fullest and we feel in order for our guests to do this, they should also feel informed. Our emails serve to educate you on your vacation rental home, the surrounding area, responsibilities, what to expect and how to get in touch with us. We respect your privacy so our emails help provide you with all you need to know to reference as you please.

In addition, most of our properties have House Manuals detailing specific information about the property, amenities and responsibilities. Not to mention an awesome section on attractions, events, restaurants and more to help guide you during your stay in San Diego!

Please note: The look-out terraces at the Capri are NOT for standing or sitting. DO NOT lean on the railings. Capri by the Sea has asked for our cooperation in their new safety proceedings. The incredible views of the beach, boardwalk and ocean are not affected!

Holiday 2024 Policy:
6 night minimum AND Saturday check-in is REQUIRED during our holiday season (December 21-January 4). One reservation CANNOT take both holidays, unless it is a 2-week reservation. There are no arrivals OR departures on Christmas or New Year's Day.
*An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!

Summer 2024 Policy:
Beginning Memorial Day to Labor Day, Saturday to Saturday is required with 6-7 night reservations. On July 4th 2024, check-in or check-out is NOT permitted. An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you.

Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy.

To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest's face and holding either a Driver's License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as, payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.

This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

Place was better than described - stocked with toiletries and dish soaps made for extra easy stay. Beautiful view and quiet location - was truly a relaxing retreat for a few days. Ate a JRDN all 3 nights - was perfect location for walking the boardwalk and driving up to La Jolla. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space.

Gross bathroom
The bathroom needs to be completely redone. Mildew and mold were present. The rest of the condo was sort of ok, but needs to be refreshed. The kitchen is dated, the carpets are old, etc. The tub was so bad, we knew we couldnt stay there. We requested a change in location from the rental agency. They were wonderful and moved us to a great place not far away. The owners of this dump should be ashamed for even listing this place and need to seriously consider doing a complete refresh of the entire place if they expect further rentals.

The location and the ocean view were excellent--the best we have ever had! The bed and the other furniture were comfortable and appropriate. The kitchen and supplies were useful and appreciated. We enjoyed breakfast with a lovely ocean view every day. We had one repair request that was successfully completed in a timely and pleasant manner. Thank you! The lighting from the lamps in the living room was not adequate for reading in the evening. Taller lamps would be a possible improvement.

I have stayed at several units at the Capri, I always look to stay here when I visit. The 1 bdrm units at the Capri are million dollar condos. This unit had a weird, owner added wall in the bedroom that created a space for the bunkbeds but it blocked access to the window. Whoever added the wall did so with the blinds still on! it's just funny to be that a place with such value has unprofessional "upgrades. the light in the bedroom is a flood light. the lighting in the bedroom is so poor, my wife had to do her make up in the living room. There's a dirty, old massage chair in the living room that looks like it should be dumped. The location is great.

Great location but mediocre unit and building
You can’t beat the view and location of this property - the kitchen was well stocked but had to wash all dishes before using them as they were gross and the unit itself has not been kept up - mold in bathroom, torn wallpaper, peeling leather massage chair and nasty carpet. Also the “heated” pool was broken - people who lived there said it had been broken for a while and called maintenance and property manager - that was the only thing that made me select this property over others - very disappointing.

Location is great
We were in a great location at a reasonable price. The condo does NOT have a ceiling fan as advertised and only one floor fan so it was hot when we entered. We borrowed another fan and temperature was not a problem except when showering as there is no bathroom fan. Stained glass light in bathroom is lovely but gives minimal light which is difficult with a fogged up bathroom. Bedroom drawers and closet were completely full with linens and beach toys so we used bunk beds for our clothing. Easy fixes to correct to make the stay better.

Great view & location to beach, but needs some updating.
Unit was excellent. Great view and great parking spot. But the bed was very shot and old and uncomfortable. Needs some updating throughout the apartment. Wallpaper peeling, cabinets that creak open and close with the air flow, the screen door and window door are difficult to open and close, bathroom shower needs some better cleaning and repairs. Overall though it was a great place, with full kitchen, very easy access to property, and the parking spot too. The pool isn't near the beach front property so we didn't utilize it on our stay. Wish the air flow was better to the bedroom which is in the furthest part of the room from the ocean view.

Disappointing
When we first arrived there was an awful smell. The kitchen floor had old French fries on the floor and it appeared that it had not been mopped in months. The carpet is filthy and needs to be replaced. The couches have stains all over and they’re also very dirty. I didn’t feel comfortable sitting on the couches or the floor. They have a beat up massage chair that’s very worn out if you sit on it pieces of the leather fall off. The bathroom has mold in it. The rooms are very warm. The only good thing was the ocean view. I would not recommend. The pictures on the website are misleading.

Beautiful view and location
This place has a beautiful view and location. It has many beds if you have a larger party, but the sofa sleeper and queen bed in the bedroom are less than desirable. I did mention the view and location though which more than makes up for the discomfort. The place is outdated but decently equipped, I did look for the Capri specifically because we love the location and that all condos have an ocean view. Over all a great and affordable stay, would re.

I LOVED the location of this unit, but unfortunately the SMELL of the condo was unbearable, my kids were in tears and I had to keep the windows and door open constantly for us all to be able to sleep. Everything about this condo needs to be replaced and there is mold in places of the house. Thanks to only being inside to sleep and allergy medicine at bedtime, we made it through the week. We will be returning to Pacific Beach but will find a new location to stay. I knew it was outdated, and I'm cool with that, but the smell and grunge factor was rough and gross.

Place was fine. Outdated, but stuff like that doesn't bother me. Place was clean. Bed was not the best but not the worst I've slept on. We were able to cook and relax with a great view. Place has everything we needed and would stay there again. The sunsets are amazing!

Beautiful view, a little deceiving
The location and the view are absolutely perfect. Waking up every morning to the beautiful ocean was exactly what we needed. However, there were a few things about this place is a little misleading. The pictures show a leather massage chair. When we got there, it was completely torn up. They state that there is a pool and jacuzzi. If there is one, we couldn't find it. Property manager couldn't tell us where is was and the people at the desk said it was two blocks away. Somewhere... I understand things aren't perfect, but honesty goes a long way. With that being said we loved the location and the view was stunning.

The unit itself is a little outdated, but who cares. The view is killer. My wife and I have been going to Capri by the Sea for years. You just can't get a better view.
