Do not book this unit or with this owner. After visiting this resort twice before in another unit we were looking forward to our stay this past Christmas. This unit was tired and not updated. None of the TV’s would turn on. Remote controls had no batteries which we had to replace at our cost. When we contacted the owner they were non responsive. A dead hermit crab was in the middle of the floor. There was no hot running water in the kitchen and with no dishwasher we had to heat water on the stove. There were no oven mitts and only one dish towel. Appliances had hand written numbers on the controls and were difficult to figure out. Living room furniture was very oddly laid out and uncomfortable.But mostly when we arrived we were told that access to the resort facilities were limited. The main pool was closed and under renovation and the pool club for the villas had restricted access and as a renter we were not allowed in. At no point were we told about this by the owner. Our relatives who were also renting a villa were given a 15% discount upon their arrival. We requested a similar discount and were vehemently denied.On Dec 31st we lost power. There were two flashlights available however had no batteries. There was one candle in the villa. For an island where apparently this is common there were no provisions for it other than a big sign in the unit saying there would be no refunds for power outages. The unit was advertised as having a clothes washer and there was none.
