The Space:
Experience the ultimate comfort in this NEW two-story 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom home that accommodates four guests with ease. The lower level boasts 2 cozy bedrooms with 2 king-sized beds and a full bathroom. The upper level features a fully equipped kitchen and a bright living room with a 70" smart TV, leading to an upper deck with an awe-inspiring view of Madonna Mountain. Enjoy a delightful meal on the patio's outdoor dining set and fire up the grill for a BBQ. Located in a serene residential area, this house is a short 15-20 minute walk or a quick drive to the historic Railroad District in downtown San Luis Obispo, where you can indulge in some scrumptious meals and drinks at the local restaurants and delis. The Terrace Hill is a short hike behind the house with a stunning view of SLO, perfect for savoring a sunset with drinks and snacks.

If you are an adventure seeker, travel North towards the scenic Los Osos, Morro Bay, Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon, and the breathtaking Big Sur. nice visit to slo
Rental process very smooth and a couple phone calls were picked up by rental agency by the second ring. Very pleasant and quickly addressed questions. Location is great--walk to 5 different restaurants. Easy access to downtown. Living area is bright and sunny. A few things to mention: the second "bedroom" has a very comfy king bed but no closet and no dresser. There's plenty of room in the master bedroom. There is no dining table; only three high top chairs at kitchen counter. No comfortable chair to sit on the deck. We were happy and lived around these quirks. A short uphill open-space hike right behind the house--we went to the top every day.

Modern inside, well equipped, clean 2 bedroom house, walking distance to the Amtrak station and Railroad Museum. Enjoyed the sunset on the upstairs balcony. Bedrooms are both downstairs, king size beds, kitchen/living room up a flight of stairs. Only minutes to drive to downtown restaurants and within an hour drive to most wineries.

This is a newer house and everything inside was new, clean and bright, with pleasant decor. Host didn't respond initially through VRBO messaging, but once we connected they were very responsive and helpful. Plenty of parking in the area. Walkable to town, over the railroad pedestrian bridge. Occasional train whistles, but not an issue for us at all. The views from the deck are phenomenal!

SLO down and enjoy
My wife and I recently took our daughter toCal Poly SLO. We have used VRBO in the past and have been satisfied. So we really didn’t have any expectations, good or bad. We’re happy to say, we were very pleasantly surprised! The house was immaculate! It basically looked new and was well decorated. The house was equipped with everything someone would want or need. Very thoughtful presentation. Property manager was very responsive. I highly recommend this location!

Fantastic house, poor management
Fantastic house, particularly for a couple. Lots of space. Beautifully decorated and clean with newer furnishings and kitchen gear. Not stuffy whatsoever, and an open floor plan to relax in. High quality pots & pans, and everything you would need for a short term stay. Close to town, and the trains are not an issue considering how infrequently they run. Safe neighborhood as well. The management company, however, Retreat was difficult to work with. We would not stay here again simply on account of the poor communications and nickel & diming that they did. Questions were not responded to timely, and our request for a late check out to two individuals, once we arrived, was never answered. Finally had to call, and were told that we would have to pay for a late check out because the cleaners were on such a tight schedule. When we finally checked out, we walked the neighborhood and for two hours, there were no house cleaners. We would never rent from Retreat again. Timely communications and not feeling like they are reaching into your pocket for extra dollars is important to us
