My family of 6 was visiting Sandusky for my daughter’s dance Nationals, and because we needed a kitchen and more space, we chose to stay at a VRBO instead of the Kalahari Resort. This house, while small, had a bed for everyone, and plenty of outdoor space for the kids to run around. The kitchen had the basics, but because I am a private chef, I would’ve liked to have had more measuring spoons/cups, cutting boards, and glass bakeware. The sitting room was cozy and the TV had all the channel options and streaming services. The loft space was perfect for my kids to spread out, and the AC units did a good job keeping the area comfortable. Be sure to bring your own hair dryer, because I never found one in the house. We utilized the outdoor space, and loved the volleyball net (bring a ball!) and fire pit. The house is literally on the corner of two highways, which isn’t ideal, but there is a thick tree line that blocks the view. As long as my kids played in the backyard and on the grass to the right of the gravel driveway, I felt they were safe. There is a 5G tower across the street, so if you’re worried about EMF exposure, this wouldn’t be a good fit for you. I wish I had known that before I booked. Overall, this was a great home away from home. The booking and check in process was easy, and Jess was very prompt and polite.
