Romantic Retreat: Dieses fantastisch gelegene, stimmungsvolle Gästehaus wurde vom Besitzer individuell gestaltet. Dieses intime Haus ist ideal für zwei und vielleicht ein gut erzogener Hund! Machen Sie einen Sprung und gehen Sie die Straße hinunter zu den Klippen von Pleasure Point, wo Sie surfen oder die Surfer unten sehen können, während Sie laufen. Nach dem Spaziergang können Sie in der Außendusche abspülen, bevor Sie in den sprudelnden Zedernholz-Whirlpool eintauchen. Genießen Sie die Privatsphäre, die lockigen Blätter des Pfefferbaums und die schöne Musik der Windspiele. Schwingen Sie in einer Hängematte, während Sie sich abkühlen. Es gibt ein kleines Whirlpool-Deck und einen kleinen Außenbereich vor dem Haus in der Nähe des Gartens mit sprudelnden Brunnen.

Der Bungalow verfügt über spanische Fliesenböden, einen romantischen Schlafboden mit Skylights, einen speziell angefertigten Schreibtisch und Bücherregal, stimmungsvolle Beleuchtung an Dimmern, viele Gedichtbände und über Spiritualität. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie nicht auf dem Dachboden stehen können, was die meisten Menschen sehr gemütlich machen. Das Gefühl des Hauses ist friedlich und die Nachbarschaft ruhig. Wir haben mehrere DVDs, viele von ihnen romantische Komödien, sowie Instant Netflix. Wir bieten auch Direct-TV, so dass Sie Ihre Lieblingskanäle sehen können.

Sie können zur nahe gelegenen 41st Ave gehen. zu tollen Cafés und Restaurants, oder fahren Sie zum malerischen Capitola Village für einzigartige Geschäfte und Boutiquen.

Das Haus und die Lage sind ideal für Leute, die eine friedliche Atmosphäre wünschen. Tolles Gefühl Haus zum Lesen, Meditieren, Schreiben und Kontemplation, oder Zeit verbringen mit dieser besonderen Person. Es ist wundervoll, aus der Tür zu gehen und in der Lage zu sein, bei schlechten Zeiten am Strand spazieren zu gehen oder die Strände in der Nähe zu erkunden. A wonderful, romantic home away from home.
This tiny, romantic little hideaway was just perfect for my wife and I to enjoy our honeymoon stay. Sita was very helpful ahead of our check-in and even offered us a discount when there appeared to be an issue with the hot tub. Fortunately everything was in tip top shape when we arrived and the hot tub was just as wonderful as advertised. In addition to this little apartment being just adorable and intimate and everything we had hoped for, the location was BRILLIANT. Sitting just a couple of blocks from the beach and a few blocks from local shopping and restaurants, we never found ourselves lacking in finding a place to go. If you go, definitely look up the restaurant "Margaritaville" (it's NOT the cheesy chain restaurant, it's delicious margaritas and Mexican food) The food was great, but more importantly, the location where it sits is a MUST visit. Awesome boutique shopping and tons of other restaurants sitting just on the water. We didn't discover it until our last day and wished we had sooner. Overall we loved the location and Sita was wonderful as well. We'll definitely think of this little getaway next time we travel to the area!

Great Getaway
Great little studio! We used the hot tub nightly, and never moved our car, except for a day trip to Moss Landing to kayak and go whale watching. We walked to restaurants on 41st Avenue, and walked to Capitola one of the days. We also spoiled ourselves and our dog with several walks a day to watch surfers and the gorgeous views of the bay. We actually got to know several local dogs and their humans, who we saw again and again. Perfect for us. We will be back!

Truly a romantic retreat
Sita and Tom have created a lovely space for two adults to curl into. Their intelligence and creativity are evident in all the ways they make this small house work easily & elegantly for guests. Furniture, outdoor eating spaces, bbq, and hot tub are delightful, kitchen is well-equipped for simple cooking, bathroom is very nice, and the loft sleeping space (complete with large, flat screen and viewing options) is charming. We are in our early 70's and could navigate the stairs, even during the night, thanks in part to the rails they have built. Sita and Tom are on hand to answer any questions, give any advice. It is a 2-block walk to a lovely pathway right along the rocky beach, where you can sit on benches and watch the surfers (from dawn til dark!), or climb down and sunbath or picnic on the large outcroppings and spits of beach. Very conveniently located to 41st St, where you can get supplies, and near a number of restaurants. Quick drive to Capitola Beach, and easy drive into Santa Cruz, Natural Bridges State Park beach, and beyond. We had a terrific 50th anniversary vacation in this small, simple, welcoming retreat.

Hospitable Hosts
Stayed here for 2 weeks with husband and our little poodle/schnauzer mix fur baby. Very pleased with the cleanliness of the space, cookware, and bedding. The location was amazing- the beach and many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Tom and Sita were readily available and left us some beautiful flowers and thoughtful gifts throughout. We were here for a conference and really only slept here. The Japanese style hot tub was amazing to have and was also well-maintained. The only suggestions for improvement would be to have screens on the windows, as we stayed in August and it was very warm with no A/C and hard to keep the windows open due to bugs coming in. The mattress was very comfortable and we slept like a baby. Keep in mind though that the bed is in a tiny house style loft, so if you are tall or have mobility issues, it may be difficult to maneuver. It is also in the back of the owners’ house, so it’s not completely private, as you have to go to their yard to do laundry and empty trash, but they are very friendly and the space itself has enough privacy to feel comfortable. Love how pet friendly it is- our little guy liked his little cubby area for his bed. For our type of stay, it suited our needs and had a calm energy.

Very close proximity to coveted waves breaking on beautiful Santa Cruz beaches. This home is well-appointed, well-stocked and the hosts have clearly thought of every last detail. A perfect beach cottage, complete with an outdoor shower, private outdoor space, and a welcoming hot tub. On the inside, I was impressed by the attention to detail; very helpful guest-guide; eclectic/tasteful lighting/decor; and an intelligent design and use of space. The hosts were very accessible (and very friendly) if you have any questions/concerns. Their pre-arrival instructions, guest-guide, and key-lockbox assure that guests are able to be self-sufficient. For ease/convenience, they were available by—and promptly responsive to—text messaging. The hosts were respectful of space & independence, allowing complete privacy. Although they live in the adjacent property, I never would have known if I’d not specifically reached-out to them. At different times, I’ve either stayed in this property alone, with my girlfriend/partner, or with my brother. For all three instances/situations, this property was ideally sized/arranged, and I/we felt completely comfortable. The property is ideal for solo-travel, romantic getaways, and even a trip with a close friend/relative (only one queen-sized bed). I’ve already rented this property on two separate occasions, and cannot wait for the third.

i’ll be back!
this was my second stay at the romantic retreat, and i will return again and again. Sita is a wonderful hostess, both available and unintrusive. this place has everything you could want! walks on the beach, the hammock before my evening meal, and the hot tub before retiring are very restful. although i travel alone (but with my dog), i find the little loft to be a true retreat. joan - my friend makes the reservation for me.

Great little get away spot
As promised, this cottage is a wonderful spot for romantic couples to relax and enjoy Santa Cruz. It's location at Pleasure Point, a spot much loved by the locals, is quiet enough to unwind while still having all the great restaurants and surf life. The owners were very friendly and responsive to anything we needed but also left us much privacy. The loft bedroom was cozy and had skylight which open to let the ocean breeze through at night. We loved the wooden hot tub which sat under the shade of a pepper tree. We stayed there 3 nights and felt completely recharged after.

Great little cottage. Excellent location. Intimate hot tub!
We had a great time at Sita’s little cottage near Pleasure Point. Very close to beaches and beautiful California coastal scenery. Even though it’s in a suburban neighborhood it’s very quiet and feels really secluded. The whole place has a lovely Santa Cruz vibe. We felt refreshed and renewed after spending a weekend here. Hosts were very friendly and helpful too. Great property!

We loved this place! It is tiny, comfortable, clean and charming. We loved the privacy, amazing hot tub, comfy loft with beautiful skylights, close walk to beach (with dolphins!) and close walk to lots of fun places to eat. Seriously a special, special place! We will return.

Perfect spot for a little surf retreat with the dogs
Tom and Sita have gone over the top to make this little space special! The hot tub is really unique and enjoyable. Great place to bring the dogs, as the little back yard is totally fenced in. They are also incredibly kind and gracious hosts, while completely maintaining guests’ privacy.

Satisfying Santa Cruz Soak!
The romantic retreat was perfect for two lovers. Small, but open and with lots of places to read and be mindful. We sat in the morning by the subtle rock waterfall and soaked late in the wood barrel hot tub. The area was quiet, we felt privacy. Loft bed was cozy - so long as you are able-bodied. I really liked the intimacy of the space. We enjoyed drinks and snacks bought at Lucky's a short 2 minute drive away. There was no microwave, but everything else you'd need to actually cook was provided. For dining-out, there were plenty of options. Easy walk to the beach! Local area was clean and pleasant. The nearby market was often busy but had a great selection of groceries and hot food. Tenants were helpful and we felt confident with the notes and instructions left for us. Michael and I are in our thirties and live about 2 hours away. We're happy to have found such a great spot and when we need a Santa Cruz soak we will return to the romantic retreat!
