Tucked in the hills and trees just north of the Santa Fe Plaza (1.5 miles), this free-standing 470 sq ft casita provides beautiful seclusion. Furnished with Santa Fe style. Comfy queen bed with memory foam mattress. Bright windows overlooking the hills and trees. You have the feeling of seclusion while being close to skiing, hiking, restaurants and the sights and sounds of the Plaza. Equipped with very fast internet, this is a great place for a staycation. A quiet setting in a secure and safe neighborhood. Air conditioned and heated with a split heat pump--cozy all year 'round.

OMG!
This casita was perfect! Starting with the location, not too far from the main city, but far enough away that you have an abundance of nature. Next, the host is on property. He greeted us as we arrived. Then he offered to bake us pastries for breakfast the next morning. WOW! Yes, please! Inside the casita is an array of snacks, coffee pods, a bottle of wine, and 2 bottles of sparkling water in the fridge. Amazing. The bed is super comfy! The shower head is very nice. The TV is huge! And my dogs had the best walks of their lives. So much nature was around us. Our dog met a deer for the first time ever. He was in awe. So were we. John has an excellent property with awesome amenities. Thanks so much!

Walking to the plaza a stretch
Excellent accommodations, everything you might need is provided. The host was very available and helpful. The distance to the plaza is only 1.4 miles, but most of that is walking on streets, not sidewalks. So a reasonable walk distancewise, but not really inviting and no need for that to be a headline for this otherwise perfect casita.

The perfect home base while exploring Santa Fe
John’s casita was perfect for our vacation to Santa Fe. We traveled with our two dogs and had plenty of room. The bathroom and kitchen areas were both spacious along with the living area. I had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay here again. The location is in one of my favorite places in Santa Fe- It feels both secluded and is close to everything. The casita itself is very well done. Moreover, the thoughtfulness and care that the hosts put into this rental is truly exceptional. Everything from providing chips and salsa, both an espresso and a coffee machine, baked goods in the morning, and a later checkout due to luck in scheduling- this is an unparalleled level of hospitality. Although it is cute the room feels like a motel. The bathroom is very small and the hot water ran out on me before I could rinse my hair. Moving the car up next to the road was annoying. My partner didn't find the bed, which dominates the room, very comfortable. I had to watch television from the bed as there was only one, sort of comfortable, chair and there was no headboard to lean against. The price was high for what it was.

Truly outstanding
The most thoughtfully and tastefully put together of any place I have rented through a vacation booking service. A lovely place to sit outdoors in the woods, listening to and watching birds, as well as comfort inside. Bed, kitchen, bath all excellent and well furnished. Beautiful artwork. Introduction to some local food and drink brands a pleasure. Heavily wooded and beautiful neighborhood where one can smell the trees and breezes with (screened) open windows. A lot of attention to health and restfulness in how the place is furnished. Fully supported by the host in all ways. Couldn't have asked for more -- this place offers a truly outstanding experience. Hope to be able to stay there again when I return to Santa Fe.

The casida was clean and comfortable. The only reason I gave it a 4 was the shower. Not enough warm water for even one person. You have to turn it off and on during your wash. Also the laundry was not very accessible. We never found where to turn the light on in the garage and the machine was full of personal items. They require you to was at night.

Independent, well furnished vacation dwelling.
This building was a good fit for my wife and I. Just big enough, everything new or new-ish and in good working order. The location was a bit out of the way, but that was made easier when we started using Valley Road access, instead of the zigzagging that our GPS pushed--all to avoid speed bumps? It's nice and quiet, and you get instant aromatherapy when you walk out and smell the pinon-juniper aerosols wafting around you. There's a nice path along a creek for your morning stroll, if you can make it up and down the hill, and around the trees. You have to walk up a steep driveway to access your parking place, but it's a very short distance. Inside, all the appliances worked well. The host was welcoming, helpful, available, but unobtrusive--perfect! Furnishings were spare; nothing fancy, but nothing lacking. The cost was not low, but for us it was well worth it.
