Take an easy stroll down to the water's edge where a large beach area with a sandy lake bottom awaits. The home also features a private dock where guests can bring their boat and leave it at the dock for their entire stay or we can recommend places to rent a pontoon to explore the lake during your stay. A golf cart in the garage is available for guests to transport coolers and gear to and from the dock area.
Long Lake is a large lake - in fact is it over 19 miles long from one end to the other with depths of up to 70 feet and much of the shoreline is undeveloped. Long Lake is known regionally as the Walleye Capital of Wisconsin. It offers boaters 6 boat-up bar restaurants and 99 miles of shoreline to explore. Long Lake also has some great sandbars where on a summer day you will find boaters hanging in knee deep water and enjoying the sunshine and swimming. There are also several marinas on the lake that sell gas and bait. The Birchwood area is also known for its great ATV/Snowmobiling trails. From this area you can explore hundreds of miles of connecting trails.
What do you do on a rainy day? While you could hold up in the downstairs bar and play pool or venture out and explore the area. Within a 30-minute drive or less you can visit the communities of Rice Lake, Birchwood, Spooner, Hayward, and Shell Lake. Each of these communities has interesting and unique shopping opportunities as well as supermarkets, churches, theaters, roller rinks and bowling.
