RAZOR CLAM SEASON IS OPEN. The Whale’s Tale is our place to unwind and reset. Drink your morning coffee while watching the waves break upon the beach, listen to the wind in the dune grass as you walk the Discovery Trail, or just sit upon the patio watching the Pacific Ocean. Walk the beach, go clamming, bird watching, skim boarding, or just reading quietly as the waves crash below, all is possible at the Whale’s Tale.

Pacific Crest Condominiums sits on top of the bluff with amazing views of the ocean. 10 minute walk through the forrest to the beach and Discovery Trail and a half mile walk to the town of Seaview and 5 minute drive to Longbeach and Cape Disappointment State Park.

Guest will have free parking in the parking lot.

The Whale’s Tale is designed to provide a calm coastal escape from the daily stress of life. A large picture window allows everyone to view the ocean and forrest even while in the kitchen. The open concept keeps everyone engaged whether cooking, bird watching, or doing a puzzle or playing one of our favorite board games.

Had a great stay at this quiet location. With games to play in the evenings and the sounds of the ocean never got around to turning on the TV. Walk to the beach to play in the sand and drive a few minutes to food and tourist activities.

driveway to the clouds
the home was wonderful. it was a little hard to find since the numbers on the condos were not in order. The road going up to the condos which no one used was so steep that 2 gals in their 70's found hard to maintain our balance just getting our suitcases from the back of the car and into the condo. Way further from the ocean than anticipated. We did not find any of this out until we got to the condo. Heads up if you have mobility problems. the one complaint about the condo was there was a tangled mess of sheets, towels pillowcases in the dryer that were not dry. I don't think the dryer was working very well. And the smart tv you could only use if you were smart enough to enter all the info it asked before you could use it. Missed beginnings of Olympics which was a bummer.

A very quiet stay with a beautiful view. The place was generous with towels, garabage bags, toilet paper and papertowels. (I find that these items are often very restricted.) Christian responded in a timely manner to the one queation I had. We are already looking forward to returning.

Quiet and Comfortable Beach Condo
For our family the location was perfect, walkable to good restaurants and the beach, but the steep slope on the driveway and parking areas may be a deterrent to some. The complex was very quiet and combined with the views made for especially enjoyable mornings and evenings. We found the layout perfect for two couples and the kitchen sufficiently stocked to cook a few meals. The place does not have AC and despite it being early June it did get warm. Fans are provided to cool the place down, but it could get too warm for some in hotter summer months. The locks for the sliding door in the master bedroom and door in the living room to the back patio were broken, and were not able to be fixed during our stay.

Beautiful home with ocean view.
This 2 bdrm 2 bathroom condo was perfect for 2 couples. Very spacious & beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfy & the view of the ocean was stunning. We even had a deer visit us up close! The communication with Christian, our host, was fantastic. He sent many messages reminding us of check in procedures, door codes, where to reach him, & has an online information pack that is great. The only thing that was not well explained was the directions for getting to the right building. We arrived in the dark & had the address & unit # but there was no lighting for us to see it. It was a bit of a hike to the beach & 2 of our group could not walk that far - but it’s a very short drive to access the beach. We had a wonderful 2 days & would highly recommend Whale’s Tale.

Turn-key Beach Bungalow
The Whale’s Tail is turn- key accommodation for a relaxing ocean view and beach visit. The place is tastefully decorated to its name and very clever. Everything is complete which makes it so turn-key. Plus proximity to very fine restaurants and the Discovery Trail makes Whale’s Tail the one-stop stay for vacation! We have booked several times and will continue to return!

Nice place
Nice condo, nice comfortable beds, nice bathrooms with very nice huge jetted tub. Back door was unlocked when we arrived and we could not lock the back door. Fireplace not working and no light in smaller bedroom. Very steep driveway, not a big deal unless a person was handicapped. For the price I would stay there again for sure.

Perfect Peninsula getaway!
I can't say enough about how great this property is! Perfectly appointed with a beach chic vibe and nice touches to make your stay extra special including beach necessities and cozy throw blankets for sipping your coffee on those misty PNW beach mornings. The view from the living room and primary bedroom windows over the beach forest leading to the water is serene and provides the most gorgeous sunset views! Seaview is the perfect location in between the fishing village charm of Ilwaco and the touristy fun of Long Beach. We'll definitely be back!

Picturesque View!
My niece and I celebrate an annual tradition of our summer birthdays in the middle - late July/early August, this place was perfect for that occasion! If you are looking for a quiet space with breathtaking views and creature comforts, look no further! Both beds were comfortable, there's a TV in each room, and the place is loaded with streaming options, sophisticated washer/dryer, coffee pleasantly provided, and beach items (backpack chairs, wagon, etc.) in a separate storage space. Plenty of places to sit in comfort, e-fireplace, the place tastefully decorated and modern, and the master bathroom has a deep jetted bathtub! We spent most of our time here because we never wanted to leave! It was super convenient to walk to the beach - about 1/2 mile down the hill. This is a great place to stay, no matter what time of year it is - that huge window in the living room will always suck you in and forget your troubles as you watch birds fly around and be secluded in nature. Be sure to read the check-in manual before you arrive so that it will be smooth from the start. And if doing wash, be sure to hold down the "start" button - those two things tripped us up but it was included in the check-in instructions - nevertheless the owner was super responsive within a few minutes of each text. It's ideal to have a car for this stay as there is a parking space, Long Beach is only a few minutes away. I feel this place is a real value for what is provided - including that breathtaking view...

Breath-taking views + gorgeous space
We had a wonderful stay! This place was beautiful and luxurious. We spent hours looking out of the huge window, looking for whales and stars (and saw Venus up close!) We loved all the local beaches and bike paths. An excellent place for families to relax and enjoy.

This was a great place to stay! The ocean view was amazing from both the family room and master bedroom. The condo is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We had a great time at the beach, which is a short walk or a quick drive. There is a short trail to a paved running path that follows the ocean that we used almost every morning. We found so many things to do in the area! We highly recommend this beautiful getaway!

Not great for visitors with mobility concerns
I was not notified, until the day before, that the driveway "can be steep". That's an understatement. Extremely steep! For anyone with mobility concerns it is definitely an issue. Also, from the description on VRBO, the beach is a 10 minute walk away. That is not accurate either. The beach is much further away than indicated. It was mostly clean and the beds were comfortable. I did appreciate the k-cups and real coffee creamer. Just not exactly what I had expected

Quiet and beautiful
We had such a great time staying here! It was perfect for our family including our dog. The place was clean, quiet, and had a wonderful view of the ocean. We loved it so much we decided to extend our stay another night. Luckily the host, Christian, was very accommodating and flexible. He was very easy to communicate with and his responses were quick! We will definitely keep this place in mind (or his other properties) should we look to book another stay here in Long Beach.

Whales Tale
This was my second stay at Whale's Tale. The cleaning people do a great job and the furnishings are very comfortable. We were lucky enough to have a storm the first night and could actually see the mist from the waves crashing from our window. Can't to go back next year! Thanks Christian for letting us stay

Sharp Seaview condo
This 2-bed, 2-bath condo with a view of the crashing ocean waves was a perfect quick getaway. It is modern, clean and well appointed. The condo is about a half mile from the beach, but from our first floor condo we still had a view of the crashing waves. There are binoculars and a telescope available to enhance the view. The only drawbacks were that the fireplace was not working and we were not informed of that until after our booking (not that it was a game changer, but would have been nice to know upfront). Also, the room number on the front door is very hard to read from the driveway--we had to get out and walk the units in a rain storm to find the right one. Overall this was a great condo for a short stay.
