This is a cute little cabin in a very beautiful area in the woods. Surrounded by woods and the sound of nature is very peaceful. Perfect for sitting on the porch first thing in the morning, drinking a fresh cup of coffee from the cafe that's right down the road (the coffee offered in the cabin was opened and used). It's the perfect distance from Red River Gorge and the local shops are worth a visit. There are several rules for the cabin that are easy to follow and the staff are helpful and friendly. We did have a few issues as listed below:
The gravel driveway is full of potholes and in a low car, you can easily hit the bottom of your car.
The hot tub was full of hair, lukewarm and there was a strong septic smell that ruined the night. The water had a strong chlorine smell so it was like a public pool. The porch light didn't work, but the lights in the tub did.
I was very excited for the Jacuzzi tub, but I very disappointed. No instructions on how to use it, the water went cold before it filled up and it was in the room with the smaller bed. Definitely a hazard for younger children and an awkward location. The wood surrounding it was pulling away from the tub and looked like it would fall apart.
The shower head is low. I'm 5'5 and had to lean down to wash my hair.
The beds were very hard, uncomfortable and there is no air flow so bedrooms get hot and stale quickly. A mattress topper and a fan are definitely recommended.
We won't be back due to those issues and the price
