We got a great deal finding this place to stay with our dogs welcome. There is a lot of yard, back away from the road for them to play. Only negatives were that it is quite a drive from Iowa City as it is north of the river, so it turns into a 20+ minute drive out of town, and that it lists river access, but there doesn't seem to be a path that isn't trespassing through neighbors' yards and signs about federal land management. Tons of positives including great price, snacks, wine, extra tables and chairs, comfy beds, plentiful kitchenware, coffee, laundry, indoor gas fireplace, and although we didn't use it due to wind and cold, a grill and a fire pit stocked with plenty of wood. We saw the owners' labs who looked perfectly friendly, but kept our dogs inside when they were out and about. There is a neighbor with a rather intimidating looking dog that seems to be contained by underground fence, but we were weary that our dogs wouldn't stay off his territory as there was no above ground divider. Overall, a great stay, and better than expected from the pictures which don't do this place justice.
