North Shore Beach Retreat - 1 bed 1 bath condo on north side w/ pool

Welcome to the North Shore Beach Retreat! This adorable Lake Michigan condo on North Shore Drive has it all! It is located near downtown South Haven (approx. 5-minute drive). It is also close to non-downtown amenities, such as a grocery store, farm market, pharmacy, laundromat, Biggby coffee, and more (approx. 5-7 minute drive).

The North Shore Beach Retreat is located in a quiet, family-friendly complex, with private/free parking. This cozy condo is perfect for two, but it can sleep up to four. There is one bedroom, plus a queen sleeper sofa (foam mattress) in the main living area. The kitchen allows for meal preparation for dining, and an outdoor grill is also provided on the attached deck. Enjoy meals or drinks al fresco!

The association's outdoor pool (open seasonally) is conveniently located near the condo, along with a changing room and outdoor shower/rinsing station. Grab a book and relax on the lounge chairs!

The North Shore Beach Retreat is close to many neighborhood beach accesses. If you would like to walk or bike, the closest beach access is about ½ mile down North Shore Drive. That location is best for catching a quiet sunrise or sunset, but other beach access points are just a short drive and provide more space for beach play and spreading out.

While the North Shore Beach Retreat is only about a 5-minute drive into downtown South Haven, where you can find amazing shopping, dining, entertainment, and more beach fun, the condo is also only a 15-20 minute drive into Saugatuck. Blue Star Highway, just around the corner, will take you there. It is a scenic drive and, along the way, you can shop for antiques, art, and other novelty items. Stop for ice cream, and plan a dune ride!

Even though you aren't likely to spend a lot of time inside, WIFI and TV with ROKU are included. Family games and puzzles are also provided for your enjoyment. Start planning your North Shore Beach Retreat get-away today, where many adventures and memories await!

First Family Vacation
This was our first vacation as a family of three and it was fantastic! South Haven is a beautiful town and we loved exploring it and going to the beach. We did bring our newly one year old son and although the one bedroom worked for us we may opt for a two bedroom next time. The one bathroom required you to go through the bedroom which made it tricky when our son was sleeping but overall not terrible. We did plan to grill out one night but the grill was very dirty according the my husband so hopefully that’ll get cleaned up. The host was very easy to get ahold of and responded back in timely manner if we had to get in contact. Overall this was a great clean little space for our small family!

Pool, parking & painters OH MY!! lol!
While my title is silly it does sum up our trip. The condo is adorable and very clean, they had everything in the kitchen that we needed. The pool was great, and we had it to ourselves, which was nice. More pictures of the outside of the listing would help, we were surprised when we pulled up to a parking lot, and trash cans, which wasn’t the way we thought it would look. Almost every morning we were woken up by ladders slamming onto the outside of the building, and loud painters yelling to each other. We did contact the management company, and they said they had nothing to do with the condo association and couldn’t help us. That has nothing to do with the owner of this condo, once we were inside it was a very cute condo.

North Shore Beach Retreat
Condo was located reasonably close to South Haven. Beach access points were available along the way to town but more than a walk away... app 3/4 mi for the first one. Condo was well furnished, quiet, and cool. Recommend those scheduled to used this condo to look at the products in the bedroom closet... there are lots of items you could use for your trip(s) to the beach! Bedroom had plenty of space and the bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean and the shower had great pressure. The onsite pool was fantastic! We used the pool space for sunning and an occasional dip to cool off. Condo does not have a dishwasher as advertised but that was not an inconvenience for us since we were able to clean up in no time with scrubbies and dish soap. We had a great time away and thank our host for providing this clean, nicely decorated space for our summer get-away!

Perfect slice of Heaven for one.
This was the perfect place for me as a solo visitor! At the end of all the hubbub, yet I felt very safe and secure in the sweet cottage. Yet easy access to all the public beaches. Kitchen well equipped, clean, and very quiet and peaceful place. When the wi-fi needed rebooting, they came immediately to reboot. Only one critique ~ wish there was window coverings on the side panels of curved kitchen/dining windows. But other than that, it was a perfect little cottage!

Bedding was OK but not fantastic.
The distance from downtown was a bit far. The pool was a plus on the stay. The MBR bed was OK but the hide a bed sofa definitely was a little rough to sleep on. Kitchen was not particularly well outfitted for cooking a full meal.

Small, adorable, comfortable
This small but wonderfully decorated condo was a great place to be for our week in South Haven. It had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable which made our stay so enjoyable. It is located in a quiet area at the edge of town but is only a few minutes by car from everything South Haven has to offer. We especially enjoyed the beach decor, the big screen TV and the small deck with table and chairs.
