This is not your ordinary Narragansett, RI property. Come be by the beach while experiencing a unique and beautiful property by Narrow River. Experience the best of both worlds.

South County, Rhode Island - Steps from Narrow River; minutes to beaches, Bonnet Shores, Jamestown, Newport and Historic Wickford Village; access to public boat ramp (one street over); access to 2 kayaks; duel fuel grill; 2 firepits; beautiful flowers and gardens (if you love flowers and appreciate gardening this is the place for you); 2 parking spaces; and minutes to all that South County has to offer at your fingertips. This is a perfect, quiet location to work remotely, relax, fish, and/or take in all that South County has to offer. Perfect for a family vacation, a quiet and relaxing weekend away for couples, wedding parties and guests, or a girls' weekend at the beach. You can kayak directly to Narragansett Beach or drive approximately 5/7 minutes to the main parking lot.

This home was built in 2011 and offers 3 bedrooms with new bedding. The fully equipped kitchen has a brand-new Samsung BSpoke fridge with ice maker and beverage center. The primary bedroom and living room have HDTV’s with Netflix and Haystack (news). The main bathroom upstairs boasts a full bath & shower and a half bath with laundry room is conveniently downstairs. Granite counters in the kitchen with CENTRAL A/C and free Wi Fi. The mantle hosts an electric fireplace . Tastefully decorated with all linens & towels provided. There are 2 outdoor firepits for your enjoyment and you have access to 2 kayaks with a roller. What makes this house unique is that you may walk the kayaks to the boat ramp, which is the street over, and enjoy your 20-minute paddle to Narragansett Beach or up Narrow River to the Gilbert Stuart Museum. Beach up & enjoy your day in the sand with zero parking fees after a relaxing kayak. A newer gas/charcoal grill is located on the deck. The kitchen is equipped with a gas range & all that you need to cook up a special meal. Or, you can order in from one of many delicious local restaurants with DoorDash or UberEats.

What’s near by? Narragansett Beach is a must. Rent additional kayaks from Narrow River Rental Outpost, right around the corner, beginning May 2024. Take a day trip to Martha's Vineyard via the ferry in Quonset (note - this host also resides in Martha's Vineyard and can provide you with recommendations). Take a 15-minute ride to Point Judith for some lobster rolls, clam cakes & "chowda," then jump on the ferry to Block Island and enjoy an adventure in New Shoreham. Dine out at the nearby Coast Guard House Restaurant or get the best oysters that Rhode Island has to offer at Matunuck Oyster Bar. Enjoy breakfast at the Ocean Mist at Matunuck Beach. There is some of the best food in New England within South County RI! Take a 10-minute drive to have a cold one at Whalers Brewing Company or one of the many breweries around! Take a 5-minute drive to either Highland Farm or Farmer's Daughter to experience the most beautiful plants and garden scenery that exists. Take a 10-minute drive to Jamestown to relax at Beavertail or a 15-minute ride to Newport to do some sightseeing. During the winter enjoy some skiing at Yawgoo. South County RI really does have so much to offer!

Additional note(s): this is a perfect place for wedding guests to stay for weddings throughout Newport and South County. This is also very close to the University of Rhode Island and is a short drive to Salve Regina University. If you are coming for a special event or occasion, please feel free to reach out directly to the owner with any planning or preparation needs. Also, if you would like groceries upon arrival just reach out.

There is a "Welcome Book" inside the home which has information about the property, restaurants and local attractions.

Parking is for 2 cars only and if your party is more than 4 overnight adults (not including children), approval is required by owner. During the summer season leniency may be provided for bringing your boat/trailer to launch at the ramp although, this must be discussed in advance with the owner and your trailer will be 1 of 2 parking spaces. If you have your own kayaks, surfboards or paddle boards - bring them!!

There is a local park with trails and basketball courts in walking distance of the property.

Weekend stay
We stayed to celebrate 2 birthdays and to be closer to our son, who lives in Connecticut. This was a perfect respite. The rental was beautiful and perfect for our purpose. We had a great time at the beaches and in the wonderful restaurants nearby.

We had a terrific stay. The house was clean and had many lovely touches, a fully equipped kitchen, and was well located near several great beaches where we could swim and bring our dogs along. The home's fenced in yard perfect for our pets replete with firepits and nice deck. Visits to Jamestown and Newport in shoulder season we highly recommend! Owner Kerri very helpful with suggestions and recommendations.

My only regret from our weekend at this delightful property where we celebrated my mom’s milestone birthday is that we could not stay longer! Notable features that made this home a cut above some others we have stayed at: comfortable beds with comfortable pillows, immaculately clean space, kitchen with real tools that work, a working grill, a lovely fenced backyard with beautiful landscaping (and magical fairy lights that come on each evening!) and very thoughtful touches by the host (including birthday balloons for my mom and dog treats for our pups!) The best part was that Kerri provided many wonderful recommendations for restaurants, beaches etc. that helped make the weekend extra special (including a recommendation for where to get a birthday cake — the coffee toffee cake from Gregg’s was delicious!) Highly recommend this property if you are looking for a relaxing getaway with easy access to many beautiful beaches in RI!

Nice RI get away
We had a wonderful stay in Rhode Island. The house was perfect. It had everything we needed (including a beautiful fenced in backyard that was like own little oasis -- lovely flowers, fire pits, deck with grill and table). Check in and check out were a breeze. The location is fabulous. Close to lots of restaurants, grocery stores, the beach, etc. Short drive to Newport, for those wanting to spend some time there. We didn't have a chance to go kayaking, but it would have been a perfect area to explore by kayak. Narragansett Town Beach was great. I would not hesitate for a moment to stay here again. It was a really great experience!

This was a lovely home in a central location in RI. My husband and I had our first weekend get away with the kids and it was perfect. A Nice Little Oasis
Beautiful property in South Kingstown that is minutes away from beaches, ferries, dining, fishing, and casino. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and we were able to bring our 2 small dogs. Really enjoyed our stay here with all the wonderful flowers and wildlife (deer in the neighbors yard almost every morning). Definitely will rent again.

Great Family Vacation
The host, Kerri, was wonderful to work with. I had lots of questions before we arrived regarding local attractions and she always promptly replied to me and offered so much guidance. The house itself is adorable - tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. Our dog fully enjoyed the fenced in back yard. We also enjoyed the back yard with all of it's pretty landscaping and we had a fun family game of cornhole. Kerri left us a handwritten note and a bottle of wine as well as a funny message on her chalkboard. We needed potholders and she had Amazon deliver them to us the next day. We enjoyed the coffee and tea she has available. We so appreciated that the closets were empty as well as the kitchen lazy susan so that we could unpack and have everything put away. We didn't have a chance to use the Grill or fireplace, but both of those looked great. The only small improvements I can think of are to add an extra towel bar in the bathroom, raise the chandelier in the staircase so you don't bump your head and to have some more regular drinking glassess (Ithink there were only 4?). But those are just small things - we loved the house, loved Kerri and would 100% go back! Truly Kerri and her home went above and beyond what we expected and we had a super vacation.

Great Stay!
This home was perfect for our recent summer vacation! Our host could not have had better communication throughout the lead up and stay at her home. The location was great. A minutes walk to the Narrow River and a minute drive to route 1. Everything we needed was provided for us. The property itself is bigger than the pictures lead me to believe. Plenty of space to lounge around, relax, or sit by the fire. Couldn’t recommend staying here more!
