(9/4/20 through 9/6/20). Tahoe was beautiful, our friends great, the property was okay; not quite up to expectations.
1) General
- Enjoyed the view, quiet and daylight throughout property, beds (support), microwave, refrigerator, silverware, glasses, and portable fans for the heat (Day of arrival was unusually hot; it took a while to figure there was no A/C).
- Could not appreciate the closeness of the hot tub to the street or the open view from the street to hot tub --from the online pictures at the time of reservation.
- Hot tub did not work on the first evening (we were looking forward to use it after a long drive). It was fixed around noon, next day.
Property manager was responsive via text --the first evening he directed us to re-set the circuit breakers in the house and for the hot tub. Efforts were not successful. We were offered compensation for lost amenities.
- Barbecue grill (outside the house) and the deck area around it were unclean. Two available propane tanks were about empty.
- Could not access regular Netflix programing/films in the TVs in the living room or bedrooms (only previews and such).
- A few cobwebs and some dust, including in the windows and window sills.
2) Safety.
- Steel bar remnants protruding vertically from the cement wall at the right of the entry driveway, next to the hot tub are, in our opinion, a hazard.
- Entering the hot tub from the deck (outside) is, in our opinion, unsafe --deck floor level is higher than the hot tub and there is an opening of space between the deck and hot tub.
- Could not notice a warning sign for the circuit breaker next to the hot tub (water + 220v).
3) A Little Love
- Welcoming letter detailed warnings. Would have appreciated emphasis in welcoming guests. Information about the operation of house equipment (TV/Netflix, A/C, washer/dryer, dishwasher, hot tub, barbecue) would have been very helpful.
