Strandlage in Lecount Hollow mit Klimaanlage

Strandlage (Minuten zu Fuß zum Lecount Hollow Beach) und Komfort sind alles für einen schönen Urlaub. Bleiben Sie in diesem kühlen (zentralen A / C) und komfortablen, aktualisierten Zuhause * innerhalb * der National Seashore in Wellfleet. Das Hotel liegt an einer privaten Straße am Ocean View Drive entlang des Atlantischen Ozeans. Unsere Straße führt zu einem Privatweg (für Anwohner und Gäste) direkt zum LeCount Hollow Beach (Minuten entfernt). Genießen Sie den Komfort, direkt am Strand zu wohnen und einen Parkplatz für bis zu 3 Autos zu haben. Kein Warten im Auto, bis ein öffentlicher Parkplatz geöffnet ist oder Sie um 8 Uhr morgens zum Strand müssen, um parken zu können. Gehen Sie zum Mittagessen oder für einen Snack nach Hause und kehren Sie nach Belieben zurück. Darüber hinaus ist der berühmte Beachcomber etwa eine Meile den Ocean View Drive hinunter (zu Fuß, mit dem Auto, mit dem Fahrrad oder mit dem kostenlosen Shuttle). Die beliebte Boulangerie PB (französische Bäckerei und Bistro) ist ebenfalls etwa 1,6 km oder weniger entfernt.

Wie unsere vorherigen Gästebewertungen vermuten lassen, befindet sich unser Strandhaus in einer wunderschönen Strandlage. Lecount Hollow (auch als McGuire's Landing bezeichnet) und die anderen National Seashore-Ozeanstrände (Lecounts, White Crest, Cahoon Hollow und Newcomb Hollow) sind die schönsten Strände auf Cape Cod und liegen alle am Oceanview Drive. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung zählen ein nahegelegener Radweg von 43 km, mehrere Süßwasserteiche und Buchtenstrände. Wir sind auch ca. 5-10 Autominuten vom Stadtzentrum und Hafen entfernt. Diese großartige Gegend hat seit jeher Familien und Freunde angezogen, die den Strapazen des echten Lebens entkommen sind. Geh erfrischt nach Hause.

Das Haus selbst ist eines von nur ~ 300 im National Seashore Park. Wir haben 2 Königinnen und 2 Einzelbetten. Es gibt 2 Schlafzimmer im ersten Stock (Königinnen) und die Zwillinge sind im unteren Untergeschoss fertig mit eigenem Badezimmer (siehe Bild). Wir haben auch einen Rollout für einen Übernachtungsgast. Es gibt 2 Badezimmer sowie eine geschlossene Außendusche.

Es gibt ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer und eine Küche. Beachten Sie, dass wir 2015 ein Upgrade mit neuen Schränken, Beleuchtung, Schlafzimmermöbeln und anderen Updates durchgeführt haben, um den Komfort und die Attraktivität noch weiter zu verbessern.

Der schattige, natürliche Innenhof ist eine Besonderheit des Hauses. Es ist ein ruhiger Ort, um sich zu entspannen und einen Cocktail zu trinken oder draußen mit Familie und Freunden zu essen. Nachmittags ist es eine schattige Oase nach einem heißen Tag am Strand.

Spazieren oder fahren Sie nachts zum Beachcomber Restaurant / Night Club, in dem jede Nacht Live-Bands und Solisten aus allen Musikrichtungen auftreten (ca. 1,6 km entlang des Ocean View Drive), oder gönnen Sie sich einen Cocktail in der Strandbar „Apres Beach“. PB Boulangerie and Bistro, eine sehr beliebte französische Bäckerei und ein Restaurant, sind eine Meile die Straße hinunter (15-20 Minuten zu Fuß).

Sie müssen die Gegend nie verlassen, aber für Abenteurer gibt es viele andere großartige Restaurants, Kunstgalerien, Golf, Minigolf, Autokino, Live-Theater und andere Attraktionen in Wellfleet und den umliegenden Städten (P-Town, Truro oder Orleans). Provincetown bietet eine pulsierende Innenstadt, die man in etwa 20 Minuten * unbedingt * besuchen muss. Es gibt auch eine Vielzahl von Nachtoptionen in Provincetown.

Joggen oder radeln Sie am Ocean View Drive entlang. Fischen, schwimmen oder entspannen Sie am Strand oder auf Ihrer Terrasse, nur wenige Schritte vom Atlantik entfernt. Alles in allem, machen Sie sich bereit für einen fantastischen, lustigen und aufregenden Sommerurlaub mit Freunden, der Familie und den Leuten von LeCount Hollow Beach und Wellfleet! We very much enjoyed our stay here and loved walking and biking to LeCount Hollow. The first floor rooms were a good fit for our family of five. However, you should note that the third bedroom is in the basement and was not ideal for us (dark and a little musty). Still a fabulous place to stay though.

Great house and location but filthy upon our arrival
We loved the house which is a short and easy walk from an uncrowded beach. Unfortunately, it had not been cleaned after the previous renters. Floors and beds were covered in sand, counters and dishes unwashed, sinks full of dark beard trimmings, and toilets and bathroom floors encrusted with dried urine. Because of our children arriving soon, my wife and I got to work and spent our first day of vacation scrubbing the kitchen, bathrooms, and flooring. We were reimbursed for the $150 cleaning fee we had paid but not for the cost of the house that day or the loss of our first day of vacation. After our forced maid duties, we were able to enjoy the comfortable, well-equipped house which is in an ideal location with the nearby beach and biking rail trail. We were considerate and left the house much cleaner than the previous renters.

We loved the location. It is less than a mile from the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking and running and an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Also 30 minute drive to Provincetown and 10 minute drive to downtown Wellfleet. Very quiet neighborhood and nice backyard outdoor space for use all times of the day.

Great Wellfleet Getaway
The house was very clean and setup perfectly to handle a family and then some. It is incredibly conveniently located to the beach so you do not need to worry about packing your car and getting parking . You simply walk to the end of the road and the trail to beach is 100ft long. We could have easily stayed another week or more. There is a nice back patio to eat and grill your dinner too. Would definitely come back next summer.

Perfect House, Perfect Location
Our first time in Cape Cod, and this house was just what we needed- all of the necessary amenities, very clean, updated nicely, and plenty of space for our entire family. The location was perfect to visit many locations around the Cape, including beaches, restaurants, and shops. Working with the owner was easy and responses were quick. We had no issues with cleanliness or maintenance of the property at all. If we come back to the Cape, I would definitely look here again!!

Beautiful Getaway in Wellfleet
Family-friendly beach house in a quiet neighborhood near all the sights of Wellfleet. Great location. Walked to the beach every morning and brought the kids to the ponds. Short drives to Chatham, Truro, and Provincetown for dinner. The house has a finished basement with its own bed and bathroom which proved ideal for a babysitter to have their privacy. Highly recommended!

Pros- great location, easy walk to a beautiful beach. Plenty of space, really nice back yard! Great outdoor shower. Property has great potential, perhaps just needs better management. Cons- Beds were in very poor condition, dirty and very hard. Double bed had a topper on it that was too big, our toddlers fell out of bed repeatedly so we ended up putting them in the queen. Rollaway bed wasn’t there. We notified owner immediately, yet the cot didn’t arrive until the following day. When it finally did arrive, it was extremely old and had a huge indent in the center of it and a wheel was broken. We closed it right back up and couldn’t use it. We notified owner of the cot’s condition, heard nothing back. We had to try to scramble to arrange sleeping for everyone with one less bed. Queen bed was especially hard. Looked to be very old. There was a load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. The cabinets had food left in them from previous visitors. Surfaces had to be wiped down as there were many food stains. Kitchen chair was broken. Overall needed a good cleaning. We took photos of issues upon arrival and left the property in much cleaner condition than when we arrived. Fire pit in the backyard didn’t work. We thought it was a propane issue, but tank was full. Overall property was nice and had great potential, you could tell that time has been put into making it cozy, it just needs better management/general upkeep.

Another great stay!
My wife and I stayed her for a week with another couple and their two kids. We've stayed at almost a dozen Cape properties between us and this is the one we like to keep returning to. For us, it has everything we love about the Cape. The location is in the National Seashore, so it is peaceful and quiet. There are hiking trails within walking distance, and of course Lecount Hollow beach is just a five minute walk. Between the birds, red squirrels, rabbits, and a fox, there is a lot of wildlife around, and I got a bunch of great photos just sitting on the patio. The house is very comfortable as well. Great beds, comfortable couches. The kitchen has everything you need to make your meals. That is, if you're not taking advantage of the restaurants about a 5 minute drive away. Add in the outdoor shower and I was in Cape heaven. Looking forward to coming back.

Great house; overly picky rules
The house is lovely and well cared for, and the location is great, but sheets, towels, soap and blankets were not provided, and this was more of an inconvenience than I expected it to be. Thinking the house might be very cool in April, we loaded up on bedding to the point that we had to take an extra car (3 cars, total) to accommodate all those sheets, blankets, towels and 7 people. Secondly, after booking and paying, we received an email that gave picky instructions for keeping the house meticulously clean every moment. This put a bit of a damper on our ability to relax and enjoy our time in the house. I always clean rentals thoroughly before checking out, so this was unnecessary for me. It appears that some renters have not been as considerate and have even stolen towels, sheets, etc. I'm sorry this happens but I'd prefer to stay somewhere that shows more friendliness to me on my vacation. On the positive side, the owner was quick to return my 2 calls and a small plumbing problem was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. Note: the house has excellent heating/ac in each room so the extra blankets were overkill on our part. If guests bring a light blanket and one set of sheets per bed, they'll be warm enough since cozy quilts are also provided.

Great Location
Terrific location, just as pictured and described in listing. PB's Boulangerie nearby is a real bonus--so lovely to have fresh pastries and croissants on the pretty patio behind the house. The house was comfortable, and the kitchen had all necessary equipment, except for eggs cups (a nice to have, not a need to have). The upstairs shower would 'sing' from time to time (pressure on the pipes?), and not a serious issue unless you are highly sensitive to high pitched sounds. All in all, a lovely stay.

Easy access to quiet beach
We were very impressed that we did not have to get back in the car to get to the beach. We easily walked down Wilson Avenue, and within three minutes we headed down the dunes to the water below. Everything was quite easy, and the neighborhood was perfectly quiet for older travelers who are just seeking some peace.
