Further information for a convenient stay:
*Please use lockbox by the front door to access key.
*Beside the front door; is convenient seating, shelving and hooks to allow for easy removal of shoes and coats before entering the house.
*The kitchen has cutlery, dishes, pots/pans, coffee percolator, fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, dishwashing liquid, sponge/scrubber and drying rack. There are a few owner’s own food items in fridge/freezer (please replace if you have a need to use some of these items).
*Fly screens on front and back doors will allow you to keep the doors open and the breeze to flow through. (St Arnaud does have sandflies. So please make sure you bring plenty of insect repellent to keep away wasps and sandflies).
*Please do not worry about removing ash from within the log burner. Let the leftover ash act as a base insulation layer in the firebox. I will safely dispose of the ash after your stay. This ensures that ash that appears “cold” does not accidentally start a fire when disposed.
*The property is surrounded by a rabbit-proof fence. To keep our furry friends out, please ensure gate is closed at dawn, dusk and during the night.
*There is a compost bin in the garden for plant-based food waste.
*Please use the plastic bags (found in pantry cupboard) to line the kitchen bin. The kitchen bin can be emptied into the outside bin. Three outside bins are located next to the house, opposite the water tank.Yellow topped Recycling Bin will take Plastics 1, 2 and 5, paper, cardboard and cans. Blue crate will take glass. General waste bin is lined with yellow TDC bag.
*At the end of your stay, please place all USED linen (flat sheets, top sheets, pillowcases, towels, hand towel and dishcloths) in the bathroom tub. Do not worry about laundering them, this will be taken care of after you leave.
*Before leaving, please tidy the house and leave it in the same condition you found it. There is a vacuum cleaner in the bunk room cupboard. *Cleaning supplies are kept in the laundry area.
*Before leaving, please switch off all electricity points, EXCEPT to fridge.
*Before leaving, please close the gate. Thank you :)
