The Black Magnolia House is an experience in Southern hospitality. We can't fix whatever's ailing you, but we can provide a space where you can eat well, rest well, and hopefully provide a little respite from the hogmogs of life. Upon arrival, you will find light snacks, filtered water, and several comfortable spots to put your feet up to relax from your travels. Curl up in the buttery soft leather chair with a book from the library stocked with my favorite reads from multicultural authors. Watch a movie or start a new guilty pleasure series with the included Netflix, Hulu, and Prime. Then, sit up till too late in the night having deep conversations or playing Spades around the dining room table. The next morning, wake up to a quiet cup of the “good” coffee when you peel yourself out of the comfy bed. Or, sleep late with the help of the blackout curtains in every bedroom, or keep them open to let the sunrise and birdsongs gently wake you instead.
We welcome you the first morning with a loaf delicious scratch-made banana bread prepared the morning of your arrival, along with eggs and breakfast meat. The banana bread is equally as delicious when made gluten free. Just let us know when you book if you need gluten free or if you have any other food allergies so we can be mindful.
We designed this house with the comforts of the traveling woman in mind so it's perfect for girlfriend groups of 3-5. Throughout the house you will find thoughtful extras that we hope will make you thankful you treated yourself to this trip: fluffy towels, comfy linens, good reads, plenty of charging ports, real plants, and fresh flowers, big shower caps (in case you forgot yours), and dressing areas to primp for your nights out on the town.
