Somerset Place beach rental is one of the few Florida beach house rentals that can accommodate large groups, including family reunions and very small weddings. With 10 bedrooms, 6 baths, 2 buildings, a private court yard with small pool and only 150 steps to the sand, this fun Florida beach rental is your affordable answer. While the property sleeps a maximum of 28 guests, we may allow guests to entertain up to 40 people by special permission only.

Needs Work
Showed up to property, the pull out couch in the living was sticking into the air and wouldn't go in. None of the tvs worked or even had remotes to use them. The bathroom windows were stuck open and would close. Could be a very nice property but none of it is taken care of. Very outdated. Tried to reach property management and they ignored calls and texts. Did not hear from them the entire trip.

Listing is wrong, communication was horrible.
Super disappointed. Came down for my bachelor party and only things we needed was enough beds and a grill. Host assured me the grill was on the way, but seemed to be a comment just to pacify us. Beds uncomfortable, limited blankets, super small pool, water damage in all the bathrooms, porch roof is about to cave in, and none of the tvs worked. Vrbo is working on a case for me but just save yourself some time and effort and book somewhere else.

There was a gas leak they said they notified the city about at check in it was gone when we came back it home it was terrible overnight and I had to put kids at a hotel I could get help from your company my kids were treated at wellnow when we got home and me as well for headaches dizziness and bloody noses which attributed to gas leak

Great setup & distance from the beach
Our overall stay was very good. Having the 2 houses with the connecting courtyard was great for our situation. We would have liked to see both houses cleaner, but overall the houses were nice. Great seating on the courtyard. A little north of the 'main action' but it was walkable and we loved it being so close to the beach.

NOT Wheelchair accessible, but great value
This budget-friendly property is great for large groups to share a close space together for a nice beach vacation. but don't expect anything luxurious or rich with amenities. Host communication requires initiative and proactiveness from the guest, and may be slow. The kitchenware is plentiful but disorganized and I found a few pans that probably should have been cleaned better. The general state of the property is solid and most everything worked fine... but you'll find plenty of things that are worn, used, or should be replaced. Again, the value here is fair in my opinion since there's not a huge maintenance budget to work with. There were other similar rentals along FL Gulf Coast that are at least 1.5x the price The #1 problem for me was the fact that the VRBO listing says "Wheelchair-accessible". This was a very important factor and I would not have booked at all if the listing more accurately described the accessibility conditions. In my opinion this MUST be removed from the listing as there is simply no way someone in an actual wheelchair would have a comfortable stay here. All of the doorways are too narrow for most wheelchairs so be sure to get precise measurements if you need it. I should have pressed for more details but I was told over the phone that there were "walk-in showers" but all bathrooms have tubs or step-in showers. The host did cover extra accessibility equipment that arrived on the 2nd night of our stay so that was appreciated.

We stayed in the home for three nights and had no communication whatsoever from the management. There were several safety concerns (broken glass, open windows that would not close, loose exterior door knobs) and issues that were not even acknowledged.

Frastration booking
Our booking canceled after reaching the city. It was confirmed when we booked. We totally 21 people with old people, small kids struggled lot in new place.. we have no option and no proper help.. just holding in customer care for almost 2 hour but didn’t get the place similar like what we booked. So we booked ourself and travelled to other city for vacational rentals.. lot of miscommunication and they provided fake promises. Very worst experiences.. they are not doing trustable business.

Large family retreat only a block from the beach
This was an excellent location for our family gathering. The outside patio/pool area provided not only a place to hold a wedding reception, but daily gatherings for families in the area.

Property in disrepair
Filthy home, filthy yard, broken kitchen sink, inoperable tv’s, air conditioning not working in part of the home, broken closet doors, floors left our feet black, gross spots on the ceilings from leakage, dog poop on the patio in the yard, lights in bedrooms didn’t work, pool full of sand, internet connection is not good. One of the most disgusting places I have ever stayed! Way too expensive for a broken down property that is in need of some desperate repairs.

Great location, subpar house
This house needs ALOT of updating. Maybe 3 of the 10 tvs work. BIL said the handle on his toilet was broke. But house is in great location with short/easy walk to the quiet part of the beach. Lots to do in walking distance of the house. Plenty of beds for a large group. Didn’t call maintenance because we weren’t to worried about the issues but for the money we will stay somewhere nicer next time.

It could be a great property ...
We enjoyed our time in Clearwater very much and the house allowed us to be all together and that was the important thing. The house was mostly clean. We had some trash after pulling out a trundle bed that we cleaned up easily. There was a big pee stain on one of the mattresses. We just didn't use that bed. There were small holes in some of the windows. One of the fans didn't work well and I thought they were going to send repairman out to fix, but that didn't happen. They asked us to check everything out upon our arrival and we ended up with quite a list that was forwarded to them with pictures as well. With the amount of money, we paid for this house, it seems like these repairs should not be an issue. However, we were all together and we decided we were going to enjoy ourselves no matter what. We weren't really there for the house; we were there for each other so for us this trip was a success, and we did appreciate having a secure place to rest after a day of play.

It was a wonderful experience. I texted the agent several times with pictures of things that had to be fixed. She always responded quickly. Cable was not working in ANY TV. Leak under kitchen sink. Dryer stopped drying on last day, but we had a MEMORABLE family get-together.Pool was great! Close to beach!

High school friends in paradise
The manager was very responsive. It was easy to rent , easy to check in ,the house was fine for 8 adult men there were some issues and they sent an agent right away. The house is a close walk to the beach. A small splash pool. And room to stretch out.

Very close to the beach, nice area. The house is mainly as described the only problem we had was the water heater in the back house wasn't working properly we called email the manager they sent someone but the problem wasn’t fixed. Other than that our stay was very pleasant.

bad experience in great location
We arrived early and asked for an early check-in. Our request was declined because there were workers in the property--which is fine. We waited until our 4pm check-in time and when we returned to the property, cleaners were still there as well as the stone workers for the pool. We waited a bit longer then called the customer service number for the property. We were told "its only 4:18pm and they'll be out in 15 minutes". I relayed to him that this was completely unacceptable but he didn't see bothered. Fast forward to 5:15pm and the pool guys were still working and the handle on the toilet was broken. We called back and was advised verbatim "The pool guys should be gone soon and all you need to do for the toilet is open the top, stick your hand in and pull the chain to flush the toilet." They had absolutely no idea why we were upset and made it seem like what we were complaining about wasn't a big deal. Aside from the terrible initial experience and customer service, the house did not look like the pictures. We were completely underwhelmed. The pictures were definitely taken a few years ago and it isn't as spacious as it appears. They did not do a good job with the clean. We came across hair in the tubs, sinks and even in the sheets. The pool went about 5 feet deep, which was perfect for us. The proximity to the beach is amazing. Oh and by the way, we were also promised a $200 meal credit because of the inconvenience of having people work on the house during the time we were checked in but never received it.

Nice neighborhood. Close to less crowded beach. Very clean. Lots of things that u will need for the beach are available at the property. Lots of room. Lots of towels. Including beach towels. Nice courtyard with private pool is an awesome place to socialize with your family or friends. A gas grill and two charcoal grills. Great communication with manager.

Amazing access to the beach just walk across the street. Enough room on back patio area and front porch for everybody to hang out and reconnect. We had family from TN, TX, IL, GA, WI, & VA. It was great for my father who is handicapped as well. Will definitely be back.

Amazing location, great place, just can use some maintenance!
We had 17 people in our family and needed a big place that accommodates lots of adults, not just small kids and this place was great! The two houses with pool in the center was perfect! Only two short blocks to the beach, and three miles from all of the happenings of Clearwater Beach, it was the perfect place. Our only complaint is that much maintenance is needed on the place! Some of the appliances didn’t work, cupboard doors are coming off, drawers broken etc. a couple days with a good handy man and it would be perfect! Definitely not a luxury rental by any means, but a great place for a large group! And ladies, no closets! Prepare to live out of a suitcase! So we give it four stars for location and accommodations for a large group.
