Living
The charming living area provides a snug place to congregate and unwind, with underfloor heating, a plush sofa, and cosy armchairs for maximum comfort. The rustic-modern interior has attractive beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls that have been softened with neutral colours and coastal accents. In the evenings, relax next to the wood burning stove, housed inside an antique fireplace for idyllic fireside evenings. For film lovers, cosy up in blankets in front of the Smart TV with a hot chocolate or cocktail or two! A bespoke bar area next to the living room, complete with sumptuous seating and a seductive wine fridge, beckons pre-dinner tipples. This room celebrates outstanding historic elements and is symmetrically arranged with the main living area to create the ideal setting for savouring a glass of something special. While you are sipping your tipple of choice, enjoy your favourite playlist or podcast, with Sonos speakers located around the retreat.
Eating and Dining
The lustrous, bright and airy kitchen, filled with natural light, understated colour cues, and cosy cushions creates a space that is utterly delightful. A kitchen island, at the centre, with an integrated sink, a lounging bench, and plenty of workspace is ideal for daytime social gatherings, and the alcove table and benches in the kitchen can accommodate up to six people for scrumptious meals together. The Kitchen boasts a comprehensive range of appliances and accessories, complemented by a Hotel Chocolat Podster and Velvetiser, to rustle up a warming pick-me up or luscious cups of heaven throughout the day. Additionally, there is a TV in the kitchen where you can catch up on your favourite programme or just shut the world out for a while. With warming underfloor heating, statement lighting and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, this is a year-round sanctuary for the entire family.
Sleeping
Choose from three gorgeous bedrooms, each with their own ensuite. The master bedroom is a wide, airy space with a soft coastal palette that brings the beach to mind. The super king (or twin) bed is adorned in cloud-soft linens and wrapped with throws for exquisite lie-ins, and there are bedside tables, a dressing table, and a chair thoughtfully placed throughout. It's a fantastic place to begin and end each day, with windows framing views of the gardens and the surrounding coastline landscapes. The magnificent ensuite, which also features an Albion Torre duo bath and a sizable walk-in double shower, radiates luxury with earthy tones and polished stone.
The lovely personality and distinctive design of this boutique homestay are reflected in the second bedroom, which boasts a vaulted ceiling and an exposed feature wall. The bedroom's rustic aspects are served alongside attractive touches and exquisite furnishings for a space that is all about comfort. It boasts a super-king bed that can be split into twins and is draped in excellent linens, as well as a two-seater sofa. Look out over the countryside or up at the clear skies of the Gower while staring out of low-set windows that frame the vistas and a skylight window. A separate bathroom with white tiles and a shower for those early-morning hours is also included in this bedroom.
The open third bedroom's design, which features a vaulted ceiling, exposed stone, and soft, neutral colours, is in keeping with the cottage's traditional aesthetic. Only peaceful slumbers await with a zip and link super king-sized bed that can be split into twins, a cosy chair, and sweet accents. Luxurious bedding and throws offer dreamlike layers of comfort for peaceful slumber, and feature windows frame the space and let light flow in. Self-care moments and refreshing showers are ideal in the ensuite shower room.
Each ensuite bathroom comes complete with a heated towel rail to ensure towels remain warm and fluffy.
Heading outdoors
The seaside's salty air beckons you outside to a magnificent garden that backs up to meadows and dunes. A six-person dining table and chairs, as well as two benches and small seating areas, are all present in the semi-tiered garden and are ideal for summertime outdoor activities. The symphony of songbirds, the sound of running water from the adjacent meandering mountain, and the far-off sigh of waves serve as a captivating soundtrack for mindful relaxation. It’s the perfect setting for fun and laughter with family and friends or a breath-taking escape into nature for peaceful contemplation throughout the day.
Parking
There is ample on-site parking on a large private driveway in front of the retreat’s stables, which can house up to four cars.
Families
The retreat is ideal for families. A travel cot and stairgate can be provided for babies and children.
Dogs
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome. We apply an extra charge per dog per week or short break to cover cleaning.

1. If travelling by road: Exit the M4 at junction 47. Lower Mill is about 30 minutes drive from this junction.
2. If travelling by train: The nearest main line station is Swansea. You can get a connecting train to Gowerton. We recommend either a taxi or bus to Llangennith from Swansea or Gowerton station.
3. If travelling by bus: Gower explorer buses run from Swansea main bus station and Hill Street, Gowerton. The 116 and 118 services got to Llangennith.
