Not good for families
I will be completely transparent in my review. This property appealed to me from the pictures because of the location and the view from the balcony. I was weary because there were no prior reviews on the VRBO site. My family of four was going to be staying at the unit for almost a month so between those two factors I was able to negotiate a lower nightly rate. Upon arriving at the apartment the friendly host Scud (not the owner) met us and helped us transport our bags down a rocky hill and up several flights of stairs to get to the apartment. The view from the balcony was just as beautiful as it was in the pictures. However, the rest of the apartment was underwhelming. There were no pictures of the kitchen in the VRBO listing (which I asked the owner for several times) and no pictures of the bathroom, I know why now. In order to get to the bedrooms and the balcony you must walk down a step and through the bathroom. Then once you got through the bathroom you walk down several steps and then back up to get to other rooms. The bathroom shower was very dirty and many other parts of the house were also dirty. There were cigarette butts on the porch, there was a hole in the wall in the living room wall with a dirty rag stuck into it, used rags in the kitchen, lights on balcony and bedrooms didn't work. When you open the door to leave the apartment there was a stairwell with trash, old food, & shoes. We left after the first night and I learned my lesson the hard way on this one.
