Nice but Not As Nice
After we got in, I received a message that we have to document everything wrong and turn it in right away or we would be held responsible for damages. It took us over 2 hours to do this due to all the dents, scratches etc on the furniture and appliances. Next, we paid extra to have pool heated, the heat was not turned on until we arrived and I got a notice saying it would take 24 hours to heat up! Why didn’t they turn it on the day before we arrived and shut it off the day before we left. Same amount of electricity used but we would have gotten the full benefit of what we paid for. The showers were so dirty I went to the store and bought Lysol cleaner to clean and disinfect them. On Thursday, we got a surprise visit from a Mold Inspector. I called the house manager who apologized for the interruption and said she would have gave us a heads up but the inspector never got back with her with a date and time. Several minutes later someone associated with the house came to talk to the inspector at the request of the house manager. Only problem, he knew the inspector was coming that day but was told 4:30 and the inspector showed up a few minutes after 4:00. So the manager DID know they were coming and simply forgot to tell us. I am thankful we happened to be there, otherwise strangers would have been in the house with all our personal belongings. Last, it is NOT a hot tub! They told us they heated the pool to 80, well the tub was only a few degrees warmer than that.
