Historic charm and modern comforts and amenities await! You'll stay in a historic summer kitchen used in the mid- to late- 1800s for cooking and other household chores. It has been converted into a guest house with wireless internet, a modern kitchen, modern bath, and sophisticated, high quality furnishings. Many original features are still present, and you may even find some hidden history!
Curran Manor at the Keebler Estate offers a mix of historic charm and modern comforts and amenities - original wood floors, plaster walls, narrow curved stairs, original fireplaces, and so much more. Modern comforts and amenities have been tastefully worked in - the bath and kitchenette offer unlimited hot water, a Keurig coffee machine, full size refrigerator, full size oven and stove, microwave, toaster, as well as plenty of cookware and place settings. The living room offers a La-Z-Boy queen size sleeper sofa and a large screen smart TV with streaming, and there is dedicated guest-only wi-fi internet available throughout the guest house (meaning you don't share your internet service with anyone, not even your host!).
Upstairs, the bedroom features the original fireplace, a queen size bed with Indian mahogany headboard, brand new mattress set, and luxurious new bedding. There is a reading nook, alarm clock with radio, and plenty of places to plug in your electronics. Leading from the stairs to the bedroom is the landing, featuring a pair of very unique hand-carved Indonesian chairs - another great place to sit, read, and relax!
Year-round, you can enjoy a stroll around the 2-acre yard and roast some marshmallows around the fire pit. You may even see a roving flock of turkeys in the back yard! There is a small patio just outside the entry to the guest house with a grill and seating for four, just for our guests. Enjoy peace, quiet, and privacy!
During the summer months, enjoy our "backyard paradise" with a swim in the large in-ground pool flanked by a new pool deck, lounge chairs, and tiki shack, complete with a smart TV and speaker system. Open May through September, the pool deck offers both sun and shade.
You will have access to the entire guest house, which consists of one bedroom, one full bathroom, living/dining room, kitchenette, and landing. You also have exclusive access to a small outdoor patio with a gas grill and chairs, as well as shared access to the laundry room, back yard, fire pit, and in-ground pool.
This is a peaceful, rural property, where cattle and turkeys can be seen and heard throughout the day. We've even got a few cattle that hang out near the fence that borders our property!

Notes:
• The driveway is reserved for our guests - that's you!
• The fireplaces are non-operational.
• The interior doorways are low - if you're taller than 5'6" you'll need to duck!
• There are two coonhounds and two children that reside on the property. While you may hear them playing, we do our best to be considerate of our guests and keep the noise to a minimum.
• You are not required to clean or do chores before checkout! Nobody wants to spend the end of their trip cleaning, and you shouldn't have to! Just lock the door and head out. We take care of the dishes, linens, and everything else. Our guests can expect a meticulously clean guest house at check in, as it is cleaned by your hosts Kevin and Emily, personally.
• Security cameras are in use on the property, but no cameras are indoors. Cameras cover the exterior of the home, yard, and pool.
