Our dramatic 2.7 acre mountain lot and cabin is ready for adventurous Colorado vacationers. We purchased this property, adjacent to ours, so we could renovate the old cabin and turn it into the perfect vacation home, so others can experience this amazing corner of Colorado.
This property offers everything travelers come to Colorado to enjoy; amazing views of the Cimarron and Sneffles ranges, a beautiful mountain stream, lush aspen and ponderosa trees, meadows and end of the road seclusion.
This home offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, separate den/sitting area that opens to a deck, a living room, kitchen and dining room that walks out to another deck. Truly amazing views from every room.

Very nice quiet place to relax
Property is very well maintained and the only place I have ever stayed at that where the owner actually had back up propane tanks. The views are better then the pictures, you almost don't even need to leave. I ended up tweaking my back at the black canyon so I didn't do everything I wanted to do in the area, but the well maintained hot tub made it better before the ride home. The stars were amazing, as it is in a dark sky area. I am a beginner astronomer/ astrophotography, and brought my telescope, it will take me a month to go through everything. Even if you don't have a telescope bring some binoculars you'll see some cool stuff. When it's really dry the creek gets diverted to the city, luckly it rained a little when I got there so it fired up as I was in the back having a camp fire. The only thing that was slightly annoying is there is a squirrel in the attic, which made it a little hard to sleep in, but it's quiet during the night though, and has no way to get in the house. (that stuff happens when your in the country) Overall I give it 5 stars, I had a awsome time. -Thanks Rick.

Honeymoon
My husband and I wanted a getaway for our honeymoon in the mountains and that is exactly what we got. The home was absolutely stunning, tucked away from town with incredible views! The owners were great and was very accommodating to us. Gave us pointers of what is worth doing while we were there and just all around great people. We will most definitely be making this home a place that we come back and visit!

Great views and nice house. We enjoyed our stay and property has everything you need. Great communication with owners and very secluded. It is about a 20 min ride from town though so make sure you stop for anything you need before making your way to the house.

Amazing!!
This is THE property for you!! My husband and I got to stay 7 days in paradise! The views from the hot tub and the back porch….WOW! Pictures do not do it justice! The drive up to the cabin was a little way out, but you NEED to get out to see the wildlife that we saw. Little chipmunks, mule deer, elk, turkeys, not to mention the beautiful birds. We actually got a snow flurry almost everyday while we were there (May 4-11th) which was awesome for us because we are from Louisiana and we don’t see much snow where we are. Lol We had elk RIGHT beside the hot tub one day. Anyway, you get the picture! The house was super clean and the owner was so helpful with anything that we needed (which was mostly suggestions of the best local dining spots in town). Great place! Miss it already and looking forward to returning soon. Thanks for everything, Rick!

The Honeymoon Spot to Beat!
You would be hard pressed to find a better space in the Ridgeway/Ouray area. There are always doubts when you book a place at first. Wondering if, or by how much, they got 'creative' with the photos. Here we found none of that. The cabin was just what we hoped for, and more. The views were great, place well put together and clean. A perfect spot for me and my beloved to spend a week away. A perfect place to be able to sit at peace.

Couldn’t Be Better
My friend and I could not have had a better time staying at Rick and Shannon‘s cabin. 6 nights of peace, beauty, and comfort while we checked out Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride, and Silverton. The beds - so comfortable, the big high resolution TV, sitting out on the back deck and taking in the stellar views, the hot tub with the moon shine, everything clean and well furnished - all just WOW. Best kept secret tucked away right here. Definitely a repeat stay coming up. PS For EV electric charging locally, you cannot beat the fast charge of 4 stations (all functioning) at the Ouray visitor center. PSS Loved Brick House, Kami’s Samis, Eatery 66, Thai Chili, Blue Pear boutique, Kate’s Place, Mountain Girl Gallery, Smuggler Union in Telluride, Coffee Bear in Silverton.

Secluded Getaway
We stayed early April 2023 - the property was just as described. There was some snow melt when we were there so we didn’t traverse the road in to explore much just to avoid any potential issues (mud, holes). This wasn’t a problem for us though - we felt very secluded and we’re able to fully relax into the staycation aspect of it! The views are beautiful and the spa was great for stargazing at night. Kitchen could be slightly better equipped as we did cook all of our meals but we made it work. This is really a beautiful property and we had the most relaxing time.

Picturesque Escape
Gorgeous getaway for my partner and me with awe-inspiring views from all sides of the cabin. We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves higher in the mountains than expected and definitely regretted not renting a 4x4 - recent snow blanketed the area but made our stay even more special. Extremely Peaceful and Beautiful
This house is in an excellent location. You have the privacy and seclusion that most would want in a mountain getaway, but its only a 15-20 min drive back into Ridgeway for anything you may need and only 45 mins to an hour back to Telluride, Montrose, and Ouray for any activities you may want to do.

Perfection!
If you are looking for seclusion with postcard views, look no further! I can’t say enough good things about this place. A little off the beaten path but totally worth it. If going in winter, an AWD vehicle is strongly recommended. Place was very clean and was equipped with anything we needed. Do not hesitate to book!

The Perfect Haven
It's difficult to adequately describe the splendor and absolute beauty of this cabin! It really looked like it came out of a fairy tale and we felt like we were on top of the world! We loved the decor, and the love and detail so lovingly put into making it feel like home. Sitting by the fire on the wraparound porch, we were in awe of the incredible sunrises and panoramic view of the snow-covered mountains surrounding us. So peaceful and absolutely breathtaking! Every photo is frame-worthy! Thanks to Cannon Creek and our hosts, this was the most magical vacation ever! Our only regret is that we didn't have more time. If you're an overthinker like me, just STOP and book this cabin! It is heavenly! Five stars times a million!
