Why La Antigua 36 in Las Catalinas
Las Catalinas is a unique community on Costa Rica’s Gold Coast that resembles a Renaissance village on the Mediterranean. It’s a village where the streets are made of cobblestones, no cars are allowed, and there are lots of fountains. There’s a beautiful beach, Playa Danta, right in front of Las Catalinas, and the hills behind are popular for their biking trails. This little town is known for excellent hotels, restaurants, shops and yes, a “wine cave.” Please note that Las Catalinas is a growing project, and this means construction may be occurring during your stay. Every effort is made to minimize noise, but it’s not uncommon to see and hear ongoing construction nearby. It’s a small distraction in a beautiful and peaceful place. La Antigua 36 is on the third floor of the Flats on Avenida la Antigua. There are two common areas here: the barbecue area and the sunset-facing pergola on the upper deck.
