„Met by the very attentive owner who is very polite. Answered texts very quickly, and checked in to make sure everything was okay and to see if I needed anything. Place was clean, bed is very comfortable, and amenities are close by with a car. Easy access to major highway close by.“

„Property was under construction, but this did not hamper our stay. Was clean and location was ideal. Would love to visit again once construction is complete. We loved the patio and spent most of our time outside.“

„The place we stayed was a little bit away from the convenience. It was too far for walking since bus stop was distantly away. Fortunately we got rides and didn't need bus transportation. Overall the place met our satisfaction since it was in a quiet area and we only stayed for few hours for sleeping each day. “

„On this occasion, we were in Nova Scotia for a family member’s Celebration of Life and decided to extend our visit by staying at the Beacon. It is a wonderful place, and we were very comfortable and especially enjoyed the ocean views. We also had a lovely family gathering, with a BBQ and dessert by the fire pit. The only drawback is the condition of the access road - hopefully for those who use it frequently it will be fixed! Thanks for everything!“

„wie versprochen konnten wir vom Wohnzimmer aus Wale beobachten, die Lage ist perfekt um eine ruhige Zeit zum Besuch von Peggy`s Cove zu wählen (man sieht die Touristenströme vom Haus aus); wir waren jeden Tag auf den Granitfelsen der Küste (Sonnenaufgang, Sonnenuntergang, Wellen, Seevögel und Seehunde beobachten) wir bekamen Wander- und Restaurantempfehlungen und einen riesigen Korb mit frischem Obst und Gemüse (wofür man sonst 20 km in die nächste Stadt fahren müsste)!“

„Beautiful lake view, quiet private space, and comfortable bed. Be aware there are quite a few stairs down to the cabin so you will get your exercise carrying your luggage and supplies 😂“

„Bring your groceries and leave your worries behind. This out-of-the-way vacation cottage is a great place to settle in and watch the waves. We spotted seals, eagles and fishing boats gliding past. The road onto the island, with it's twists, turns and one-lane bridge, adds to the charm. The property provides a sense of isolation but neighbours are nearby if needed. The owner is super-friendly and was reachable throughout our stay. The cottage is well-equipped and quickly feels like home. The ...

„Great house. Some of the furniture needs changing like the dining room chairs that are very wobbly.3 bedrooms in basement are only doubles so like my son and his wife that are bigger people they had to sleep separately. All in all there was a great view and it was worth the prixe.“

„Hot tub great. Lighting could have been better. Kitchenette area dark to work in and only had one plug for 4 appliances, made cooking difficult. No TV channels.“

"Wir haben unser Auto direkt vor dem Hotel parken können. Leider ist die Eingangstür sehr schwerfällig, so dass es am einfachsten ist, wenn der andere die Tür aufhält. Die Rezeption war bei unserer Ankunft um 18 Uhr Ortszeit für ca. 10 Minuten nicht besetzt, da die Dame wohl einem Gast helfen musste. Da wir nicht auf den Aufzug warten wollten, haben wir das Treppenhaus genommen. Die Stufenhöhe ist ungewöhnlich hoch. Die Ausstattung ist nicht mehr die Neueste, aber in Ordnung. Das Zimmer war hinreichend gereinigt. Leider gibt es nur im Eingangsbereich eine Lampe und keine Deckenlampe im Zimmer, so dass wir erst die Lampe am Bett einschalten mussten. Ärgerlicherweise lief das Waschbecken nicht richtig ab. Das Zimmer ist hellhörig, so dass wir den Krach aus den Nebenzimmern mitbekommen haben. Dusche und Betten waren in Ordnung. Ein Vorteil ist, dass das Zimmer geräumig und es sogar zwei Kofferständer gibt."
