„The location was great for privacy and being out in nature without hearing cars - only the sounds of the trout splashing (feeding them was a highlight), and tall trees with fireflies lighting up the forest at night. The cabin was very modern and comfortable, with a full clean kitchen and air conditioning. It was the perfect place to stay while exploring trails along the AT in summertime.“

Bring firewood and charcoal, paper plates if you don't want a lot of dishes. Bring a good book and enjoy the view from the front porch. Lay under the stars. Relax. „This was the perfect place for our family of four. small and cozy but enough room to be comfortable. The whole place was extremely clean. We pre-made and brought our dinners for the week and it was very easy to just pop them in the oven. We rented a boat for a few days and were able to keep it tied up to the dock which was really nice. The fire pit is beautiful and we enjoyed that, as well as the awesome front porch overlooking the river!“

The inlet we were on is a “no wake” which made it perfect for spending relaxing time on the water without a bunch of other boats. I would highly recommend this cabin at SML for a weekend getaway!“

„Squirrel's Nest is an absolutely charming cottage in a quaint town. Great location & perfect for our needs. We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area.“

We loved roaming around the property and taking in beautiful Mountain View’s from the front porch.
