„The Emerald Residence is a good option for a slightly cheaper stay in York, as it's a bus ride from the centre. Buses are regular (Route 7 to the Park & Ride or route 415 to Selby depart from different points in the city centre - route 7 is the one to use from the railway station, but there are no buses early on Sunday morning). „Leider ist das Hotel ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und müsste dringend renoviert werden. Bettwäsche sowie Handtücher hatten teilweise Löcher und auch die Zimmerausstattung ist renovierungsbedürftig. Das Personal war jedoch durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit. “
