RIDICULOUS AND UNTRUSTWORTHY!
During our stay, we were told that there was a cyclone going around the island, thus we were “advised” to leave the island and evacuate to Suva. The main reason why was also because the resort would not provide any mean of transportation the next day, which we had our flight back home, therefore, we had no choice but to leave the island. Right before we left the island, we did double check at the front dest for at least twice to make sure whether the unused part of our accommodation would be refunded, and the answer we got from the staff as well as the owner was a positive “yes”. However, the resort later on ate their own words and insisted that none of their staffs as well as the owner had promised to refund, and kept explaining that the weather was simply just out of their control. In result, the resort refused to refund even though they had promised before and started to ask us to get remedied by our own travel insurance as they had nothing to do with it.
Not to mention that the accommodation at Suva was completely coved by ourselves. In this case, we were advised to leave the island with no any other choices provided by the resort and received absolutely no compensation from the resort. We fully trusted the resort and left without any concerns regarding the refund, however, this whole thing turned out to be true LIE.
Again, unfortunately this matter has become way more than a disappointment but a full SWINDLE.
