Uncle Tom's Cabin is part of Mountain Mist Cabins
This dog-friendly, private 2-bedroom cabin is located less than 5 minutes off HWY 321 in Townsend, TN, also known as “The Peaceful Side of the Smokies.” Only 5 minutes (2.5 miles) from Tuckaleechee Caverns and 7 minutes (4 miles) from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

You will enjoy 2 private bedrooms and an open living space. The kitchen is fully stocked with a drip coffee maker (BYO-Coffee), a Keurig (BYO-K-cups), and all the dishes and cookware you may need.
All TVs are connected to wifi with access to all of your favorite streaming apps through Roku (you must log into your own accounts)! Each bedroom contains a 43” UHD TV. The Living room has a 55" TV!
The living room has a sleeper sofa that can open out into a bed if needed. There is an electric fireplace for use in the cooler season (Oct. - Mar.), in the living room.
Please note that there is only 1 bathroom before booking more than 4 people.

Mountain Mist Cabins offers a shared Laundry Area & community fire pit down the first driveway on your left!
You’ll have the whole cabin to yourself!
Driveway is gravel, but FLAT and well-packed.
Motorcycle friendly but bring something to place under your Kickstand.

Located on the Peaceful Side of the Smokies, Townsend is just 20 minutes (8 miles) to Pigeon Forge and 40 minutes (18 miles) to Gatlinburg. Less than 2 miles from HWY 321.
Mountain Mist Cabins contain 5 individual and private cabins. The main driveway is shared, while each cabin has a private driveway for you!
Uncle Tom's Cabin is the first cabin on your right once you have turned by the "Mountain Mist Cabins" sign on the road.
Mountain Mist Cabins is less than a mile from HWY 321 and just minutes away from many attractions. Only 1.6 miles to Davy Crockett Riding Stables, 2.5 miles to Tuckaleechee Caverns, and 4 miles to the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park & the Cades Cove Loop.
Pulling in, Uncle Tom's Cabin will be the first cabin on the right. While the main driveway from the main road is shared, each cabin has its private driveway and yard.
You will have total privacy in this cabin. We will be available through the app anytime, between 9 AM and 9 PM Eastern, before and during your stay. We will respond as quickly as possible.
If there is an emergency, please call 911. If it is non-emergent, we will get it resolved as quickly as possible.
Please be sure to download the app, as it will provide the best means of communication with us.
Dog Policy - If you are bringing your furry friend, you must submit a message through the app and let us know the age and breed of the dog. We do not allow puppies less than 1 year old and certain breeds that are known to be destructive. All dogs must be house-trained. You will be responsible for any damage caused by your dog. Please use the designated outdoor area for you pets to do their business and clean up after them. In some cases, we do provide waste stations to clean up after them. Unless otherwise specified in the listing there will be a $100/stay pet fee applied to your reservation.
Because we are dog-friendly, if you have any allergies pertaining to dogs, I recommend you do not stay at this cabin. While we do our best to thoroughly clean, we cannot guarantee that you may not have an allergic reaction from a previous guest’s dog(s).
Towels and linens are provided, as well as soaps, shampoos, and even toothbrushes, are available if you forgot yours!
All persons booking MUST be 21 years of age.
The hot tub is for guests 21 and over. Alcohol is NOT allowed near the hot tub. You may not use the hot tub if you have consumed any alcohol or are pregnant. USE HOT TUB AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Quiet Hours are from 10 PM to 9 AM
Do not leave any trash or food outside, it will attract bears.
You are in nature and there are bears and other wildlife in the area. If Bears get too accustomed to people, they are put down. If you feed the bears, you can kill the bears, please don't kill the bears.
Keep your car doors locked, bears can open them!
As with most cabins in the area, all fireplaces are shut down from April 1 - September 30.
We do not offer early check-in or late check-out. However, IF we are able to accommodate, there may be an additional charge.
Condiments, zip locks, and coffee are NOT provided.
Please note that there is only 1 bathroom.

Absolutely NO unauthorized fires! Unauthorized fires (including candles) will be charged $250 plus damages. Use of the communal fire pit is allowed year-round.
As always, be safe and use caution. You WILL be accountable for any damages.
